08 EXL map light and dome light replacement

I replaced the map lights with the V-leds light. But in the picture you can see the LED light is not level because there is a piece of plastic sticking out on the side wall. Is it normal? BTW, I have the 08 sedan. I could not remove the dome light cover. Who has a picture to show me how? Thanks in advance.

yea thats normal i guess, as long as you can put the cover back on and see the light well. For the dome light, use a small thin flat head to pry out the cover. follow this link bro http://driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8907

Yeah it's normal, but maybe you should have either measured the opening before ordering or ordered the 9 LED board.

Just kidding, no one measures unless you know there might be a problem.

I followed the advice from this forum to order the 16 LED board before I removed the cover to measure the opening. So I think 08 sedan and coupe have this issue.

I also have a Pilot which does not have a piece of plastic sticking out on the side wall. The 16 LED board fits perfectly.

I wonder why they are not the same.
