How to complain to Honda Corporate

after the dealer charged me $400 and the problem still there, someone sujested complaining to Honda Corporate

how can i make a formal complain ?

it is not aceptable that i was charged when my car only has 21K miles 2007 lx

i have the feeling the dealer is going to tell me that the problem is something else and i will be charge again.

just want to have a card under my arm in case they do so.

i am bringing the car back to the dealer since my problem was not fixed.

i might be making it big , maybe they will fix it for free, but you never know.

Just call them up and tell them what happened. Write all your points down on a piece of paper so you don't forget anything. After listening to you they will open a case file if your complaint is valid. Be polite yet firm.

Talk to the service mgr of the dealer you just dealt with to see if they can help you on anything. If your BS Meter keeps going off when talking to him/her find a new dealer.

I honestly doubt they'll give a rip! Sorry to sound cynical, but Honda seems to have very little control over their dealerships. I complained about my sales experience with a dealership in NC...corporate couldn't care less.

When looking for a car in the future, I will care less (for Honda).

My experience was very positive. The person listened to me and quickly opened a case for me. They called me back the next day. They were in contact with the service manager and were able to solve everything.

It's always worth a try. Like they said, be polite yet firm. Give them the facts. They will ask you how many Honda's you've owned, so they definitely care about loyalty.

Honda will definitely listen and try to help, but will it be helpful? Somes it does help, sometimes not.

I have a friends with a Honda and it is still within the 3-yr/36k miles warranty and there is rattle from the car. Since the dealer could only solve the problem by lubricating the door edge, it happens again maybe 2 weeks later.

The dealer does it twice and it happens again. My friend contaced Honda and Honda does open a case for her. However, since the dealer does solve the problem at the time when customer goes into the dealer, Honda can't do anything. After about 1 month, the case get closed.

Another case is dealer didn't do oil change well, Honda headquarter tells customer to bring the car back and told dealer that Honda headquarter requested them to solve the problem with Honda rep id and case # provided. Then the service maneger redo it without saying anyhing even though he is really pissed off(but dealer definitely did it wrong at first)

So as people have said, contacted Honda, you never lose.

Would you please help us by adding your car purchasing price into our car price database?

Your right Corp probly doesn't care too much about the "sales experience". But "service issues" and mechanical problems is something they do care about. Honda Corp paid half my repair bill on a front wheel bearing and a rear main seal when I was 30k over on my warranty.

Unhappy Question

I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic, I was so excited because I had dreamed about owning a Honda one day. Well now that I have it I was shocked about your seats. There is no cushion/padding in the seats and for a Honda I'm shocked being a top of the line car I would expect more. Since having the car I get really bad back pain and it messes with my sciatic nerve. I have to drive with a pillow so it doesn't bother my back. I wish you would make your seats better.

Thank You

Reality check:
  • No car manufacturer, not even Honda, can make a seat that will fit and be comfortable for every single person in the world. There are way too many different body sizes and shapes. The best they can do is make a seat that's comfortable for the majority of the people out there, and based on sales.... it seems they have succeeded. This is why a test drive is so important... to see if the car fits you. Don't just buy something because it's what you "dreamed about owning."
    .
  • A Honda Civic is not their "top of the line car." The Civic is a budget econo car. If you "expect more," then you need to move up to an Acura.
