I've been trying to upload a custom wallpaper to the screen and I keep getting a message that says the usb device has been disconnected. Any ideas? There are JPEG images on the thumb drive.
Not sure about the USB been disconnected message, but my experience was that JPEG didn't work, only BMP file for whatever reason.I've been trying to upload a custom wallpaper to the screen and I keep getting a message that says the usb device has been disconnected. The limit of images may be based on your trim level. I was actually able to upload 20 images onto my V6 Touring.<snip>
- You can import up to three images, one at a time, from a USB flash drive.

Sorry for the old post bump but I was curious since I'm picking up my 2016 Sport on Weds. what size "-- X --" pic did you have to resize to? The black letter-box will drive me nuts as well.I also resized my images to fill the whole screen. This takes some extra doing, but I couldn't stand seeing the black letter-box around the images.
I resized the images to 1680 x 936 at 300 bpi.Sorry for the old post bump but I was curious since I'm picking up my 2016 Sport on Weds. what size "-- X --" pic did you have to resize to? The black letter-box will drive me nuts as well.

On my 2016 Touring, the screen size seems to be 960x480. Larger image sizes give no benefit, and if the aspect ratio is different you'll get black bars.Sorry for the old post bump but I was curious since I'm picking up my 2016 Sport on Weds. what size "-- X --" pic did you have to resize to?
The manual specifically states that 1680 x 936 pixels is the maximum size image. The specs are the same for the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Accords. On my 2016 Touring, the screen size seems to be 960x480. Larger image sizes give no benefit, and if the aspect ratio is different you'll get black bars.
From the manual(s):
"The maximum image size is 1,680 x 936 pixels. If
the image size is less than 420 Ă— 234 pixels, the
image is displayed in the middle of the screen with
the extra area appearing in black."
The manual in fact gives two different numbers for the maximum size (the one you gave above, plus one of 4096x4096 in "Wallpaper Setup", p. 222), and both of these numbers have nothing to do with the actual screen size. The screen size is 960x480; larger images will be scaled to fit. There's no bars if the aspect ratio is 2x1. Thus 1440x720 will work fine, too, with the possibility of some scaling artifacts, however. The manual specifically states that 1680 x 936 pixels is the maximum size image. This is the only size that I have found to fully fill the screen with no black letter-box.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts over 3 hours with error message that no files were available using standard pictures from my iphone with no resizing, I found the follow steps work perfect. There's a wallpaper thread that has all the details. Here's a quote from member ICE on the specifics:
- You can import up to three images, one at a time, from a USB flash drive.
- When importing wallpaper files, the image must be in the USB flash drive’s root directory. Images in a folder cannot be imported.
- The file format of the image that can be imported is BMP (.bmp) or JPEG (.jpg).
- The individual file size limit is 2 MB.
- The maximum image size is 1,680 x 936 pixels. If the image size is less than 420 x 234 pixels, the image will be displayed in the middle of the screen with the extra area appearing in black.
- Up to 64 characters can be displayed in the file name.
- If the USB flash drive does not have any pictures, the “No files detected” message appears.
