LED Help - 2016 Touring Sedan

I had the right DRL fail after 14 months. Replaced under warranty (would have been $1000 outside warranty because the whole headlight module has to be swapped out). Now (18 months) I notice that the left DRL is significantly dimmer than the right, suggesting it might be on the fritz. I can get this replaced under warranty.

My question for you is what would you do if you had to replace both DRLs in under 2 years: 1) keep the car and hope that nothing fails after the warranty expires, 2) flip it for a 2018 with a hopefully re-designed DRL, 3) get a car without LEDs, or 4) another option? Thanks.

You should still have a warranty, use it. Possible Honda had a few bad modules on the assembly line. The new ones in stock may not have such issues. If more electrical issues develope, then you can think about trade up or fighting with the lemon law on your side. As long as you get documented proof by taking it in to Honda for warranty work on electronics, you can use that to your advantage.

Research if a Honda extended warranty covers the DRL. It doesn't seem to make sense to buy a '18 due to to the DRL --- unless you just want to get the newest Accord. If the Honda extended warranty covers the DRL, you can buy them for a good price if you look online; and just buy coverage that will suit the number of years you expect to keep your current car.
