2008 accord sedan ex-l Rear view camera!

Hey everyone.. I'm looking to get a backup camera installed on my 2008 accord sedan ex-l model. I just need some guidance on what to buy or of any kit I can buy to make this as easy as possible. I want the rear view mirror with the monitor build in.. Any help on what I should buy is much appreciated.. Thanks

Here's what worked fine for me on my 2012 Accord Coupe -- purchased from Amazon - both highly rated.

Looks good, the mirror keeps popping up in my searches so looks like I'll go with this. Few questions:

1. Where/how did you mount the camera on your coupe? Can you post a picture?
2. Where did you end up drawing power from?
3. Finally, how did you snake the video wire up front?

I plan to install this on my '11 EX coupe and parents '12 EX sedan this spring, just want to get my ducks in a row before install day.

i got the auto vox mirror also i got the back up camera from auto vox as well. i like the design of the back up camera because you can hide the bracket behind the license plate.
here's a link:
Amazon Amazon

You can draw power from your reverse light for the camera and as for the monitor you can draw power from the driver side fuse box using a tap.

For the video wiring i ran the wire through the floor panels on the driver side. I didn't take out the trim or anything i just pushed it in.

You can also buy a wireless transmitter but they are a hit or miss. Sometimes they trigger and other times they don't.

Nice, thanks for the info / tips! That pretty much clears it up for me. Only change I'll likely make to my setup is picking this license plate camera from Esky - $40 but it seems to have stellar reviews.

I was also planning on mounting my radar detector to the mirror, anyone know if I can tap into the same 12v I'll be using for the mirror or should I use another one?

i don't see a reason why you can't use the same 12v.
If you plan on buying the vox rear view mirror make sure you check what kind of mounting bracket you have for your original rear mirror. You might need to buy an adapter like i did for the new mirror. i had the cam lock style on my accord and i had to buy the wedge adapter for it so it fits into the slot.

Was the mirror also auto dimming? Other than just adjusting the brightness of the monitor?
