Here she is...

In case you didn't happen to see my other thread, I bought an 04 EX earlier this month (11/8) that needed some TLC. $6450 w/ 72K:

Here she is before heading home.

She had a cracked rear bumper and pass side taillight.

Here she is today. ready to go. Have done the following since the purchase:

New rear bumper and pass tail lamp
New tires
New battery
0W20 Valvoline full Syn
12 qt drain and fills of Z1 and new filter
PCV valve
Air & Cabin filters
New PS and brake fluid
TB service
New plugs
Sea foam
New TPS
New IAC valve
Refinish the alloys
Buff & wax
Interior detail
New windshield (rock chip)
New headlamp assy
SRS light on, dealer replaced seat belt buckle under warranty

Total investment $7500 which was his original asking price.

Looks great! Did you do all the work yourself? Kudos if you did!
I'm kinda new to the Accord and don't know the defining features of one year's model to the next so I have to ask... what year is it?

You really spruced her up, Golf. Is that a V6 battery upgrade? Looks pretty big. Also, did you replace the rear bumper skin to get rid of that crack?

New aftermarket cover painted from eBay, $265 shipped.

It's just the biggest battery group I could find that fit in the tray and had the correct pole placement. IIRC, it's the same group I fit in my last Accord. Actually the last Accord had a group 56DL, not sure what the difference is from a 56.

I thought it was an 03, with no XM thing on the roof (the only way I know of to tell the 03 and 04 apart). She cleaned up real nice, good work. Not crazy about the shiny stuff under the hood, but it looks good.

92 EX Sedan auto (RBM) - sold after 12 years (140k miles)
03 EX V6 Sedan auto (NBP, then Ford Blue) - traded in after 13 years (135k miles)
16 EX I4 CVT with sensing (KCM) - 7000 miles so far

I think only the EX-L gets XM. Not crazy about the shine either. It is GUNK product which is supposed to protect the surfaces and be more matte. I normally use Griots engine detailer but I was out. Leaves less of a shine.

Yeah, the Gunk engine shine is pretty unforgiving stuff. Once you spray it you hope to God the wind doesn't come up and blow any dust that settles on the surfaces. Once it does, you're married to it till the next time you degrease it. A bit too shiny for me also.

Yes, I love this stuff too. Only have a little, not enough for the entire engine. I'll change it up in the spring.
