recently i moved to a place that is about 10 mins from work so now i take the highway a lot which makes my gas mileage better as it's not a lot of stop n go traffic just constant driving at a constant speed. last week i hit the mile mark for my mileage where i got 347.3 miles on a more than full tank. (usually when i get gas, once it clicks to stop, i keep filling it up til i see gas start to come up, i usually get an extra $3-4). before i moved i would only get like 210-220mi on a full tank so i was just wondering what your guys mileage is like? i always get premium 93 octane. i try to always get it from shell or mobil. with that 347.3 i think my MPG was like 24/25.
I've gotten as much as the equivalent of 460 miles per tank, a little bit less in the winter times, but 430 miles per tank on averge is a regular occurence for me.
Highway driving I have gotten up to 400 miles per tank. Although, I'm pretty sure, I can get 30 - 60 more miles out of my car if I push it.
When I drive around town, in the summer time, I can get around 300 miles per tank due to a lot of stop and go and very slow speeds on Post. And in the winter, on average, I get about 250 miles per tank.
One time, driving from Long Island NY to Washington DC, around the DMV and back out to Long Island, I stretched 485 miles (15 gallons) (32.3 miles per gallon).
Other than that, just driving on the beltway and around NOVA, I get about 350-375 miles full tank.
I get about 450~500miles per tank of gas...but I must admit, when I go fill up, I only have about 1~2 gallons left in the tank...I use the cheapest gas there is, which means I usually wind up going to Costco to get regular...
I have an '04 Sedan EX, and I haven't run it down to E yet, but on my last fill-up I was at roughly 240 miles and I only put in 6.8 gallons, so I got about 35 mpg, I'm pretty happy with that.
Wow! You guys get really good mileage! I average 29 mpg on my 5spd 06 EX sedan during the summer and 27ish during the winters. We have 10% ethanol blended gas up here.
I've only owned it for 4 months, but I've checked mileage every tank.
Best so far is 37mpg, worst so far is 28.5mpg. All other tanks have been 31 or better.
I just switched from my Michelin X-Ice xi2 winter tires to Pirelli P4 summer tires last weekend. I'll be interested to see if that makes any difference.
Wait until you only have one gallon left in the tank--then fill it..The fuel light comes on with 3-4 galons left so you can safely go another 50 miles or so w/o running out of gas.You may be buying gas with several gallons left in the tank.
In city driving mpg varies widely depending on stop lights and stop signs. I can't go more than 1/2 mile w/o having to stop for something in my home town and only get 16-17 in town but well over 30mpg on the road with my 6peed 6 cylinder.
