Can somebody school me on the Accord's traction control?
I had trouble finding a clear answer to this in a search of the 7th Gen forum...
This is the first car I've owned that has a traction control other than ABS. The 7th Gen Accord does have "stability control" as part of the traction control system, correct? Is the traction control only effective to prevent wheel spin on takeoff, or is it also active at highway speeds to prevent sliding?
The reason I ask is that it was a point for me to get a car for my wife to drive that is safer than our old 1998 Maxima. She is a very good driver. She's a professional delivery driver in fact for a certain well-known company so I'm not so concerned about her skills and habits. I am, however, always concerned about the skills and habits of all the other drivers and obstacles on the road.
Can some of you please take a few minutes to explain to me the extent of the functionality of my Accord's TCS?
I'll also be having a look at the owners manual when she gets home tonight so see if there's any good info in there.
Thanks in advance!
