If it's the compressor replace it. If you see that much oil, it should be out of charge in no time.
Getting parts for these things isn't easy, and the compressors aren't the most durable things, one thing out of place and it'll blow up.
I'd be looking closer for other oil leaks. The upper bracket that holds it to the engine has the PCV separator/water passage, and it bolts directly to the block with rtv as a gasket around the oil and an oring for the coolant. This bracket has the water pump, thermostat housing, alternator and p/s pump all connected to it as well.
Have the R134 evacuated from the system, yes, if it is the compressor.
