how many miles do Honda's go for untill it breaks down?

just curious, i have a 05 accord lx 3.0 v6 coupe. picked up the car with 130k miles on it for 6k. 2 years later, i have 150k miles on it now. car runs soo smoothly, no noises from the engine, no tranny problems, no nothing wrong with the car. i change all the fluids on time ( mobile oil / k&n oil filter, etc ), get a tune up on time, when i do order parts for brakes, etc, i get top quality parts. so how many miles you guys think honda's last for if you take really good care of the car like i do ?

If it's an auto, then that's the first thing to go out, and the only thing, besides the engine. Kept up with maintence J series V6 is 300-400k motor all day, my brother has 2003 CL Type S 6-speed with 368k miles, original motor and trans.

My '94 I4 went 285k and I traded it in because the body was falling apart. The engine was not using oil. Our '01 met an early demise when it was totaled at 86k. Our 99 is in someone else's hands and was at 176k at last check. '04 is at 132k. Daughter's '07 Civic is at 90k. My dealer service manager claims he "routinely" sees Hondas in for their 360k service.

Yeah, I say as long as you dont have a lemon, 300,000 miles is not unheard of at all out of the engine. Automatics are a mixed bag. I wouldnt be surprised to see 200,000 out of auto's. My wifes' Mazda is at 152,000 on an auto and if Ford can make one last that long, I know Honda should have no trouble.

The 2003 CL Type-S 6-spd was the car I was looking for 5 years ago, could not find one good one over the 6 months I tried, finally gave up and got my 05' Accord Coupe V6 6-spd, best car buying decision I've made.

There is an 1994 Acura Legend that recently rolled over 500k miles at the Acura headquarter.

My local dealer has a picture of a 1995 Honda Del Sol with almost 400k miles on it.

52,000 miles and the transmission failed, auto trans. There is your answer, but your "mileage" may vary.

After you see how ugly the 9th gen is, I am sure you will shop elsewhere, or another Honda model.

LOL! Sometimes I have to check and make sure I'm not on an Altima forum by mistake. I think half the people on this Honda forum hate Honda.

myexperience with Accord, as with all my Hondas, has been great. my first Accord, an 88 LXI Coupe, had just under 300K on it when I sold it to a friend of mine. as far as I know, its still going. my second Accord, a 91 EX Coupe, had 180K on it when I bought it and I think somewhere around 240K when I sold it.

with all of my Hondas I've kept the oil changes done every 3K (non synthetic on the 88 and 91'sl) and every 7500 with my current one using Mobil 1 Synthetic. I have all my 'major' services done (multiples of 30K) and of course, get the timing belt changed when required. they've all run great and have NEVER broken down.

my current Coupe isn't even broken in yet....with only 26K showing on the odometer.

2010 LX-S Coupe w/Rear Lip Spoiler, WeatherTech Vent Shades & All Weather Floor Trays and Dark Tint. LOVE MY ACCORD!!! :)
