I'm most likely in the minority but I'm not a fan of the black painted accent design on any wheels..
Hopefully the style is short lived. To me,the look is a bit cheap.
I do like a few of the all black wheel designs on certain vehicles..
I dislike black accent wheels. I hate all black wheels. Whats the point. Looks like WWII army vehicles. Black hides the beauty of the wheels. I also dislike black trim. It makes a new car look old and sad. But this is only my opinion.I guess I am "old school".
As others have said, it depends entirely on the car, the color, and the style of the wheels. Personally, I like the contrast. I like some all black wheels, but I think that's the fad that will hopefully be short-lived. I see all black wheels too much, on cars they shouldn't be on as factory gedunk in an attempt to make them appear more "sporty". But contrast in specific applications looks awesome (to me). For example, my accord is ***, and I actually really like the 18" factory wheels for the coupe with the gloss black accented windows and machined face. Makes them pop, and the contrast with the white looks great (again, to me). The pic below is the wheel upgrade I have planned for later this summer. Bright machined face with gloss black accented windows.
