Hey princess i have a question... you dont recommend me cleaning my throttle body not having a HDS to reset the ECM/PCM in the idle learn procedure right.??...or is there another way to clean my throttle body without having to remove it completely and without having to reset the ECM/PCM with HDS...??...

thanks a lot for the help...

(i was thinking of cleaning my throttle body but now i dont know.)

You CAN do an on the car cleaning. Use ONLY throttle body cleaner (not carb cleaner). Spray & wipe, spray & wipe. Careful to not get too much down to drip in the intake.

Throttle body cleaner has a blend of solvent that will break up the carbon & lubricant for the moving parts.

Hi Princess, Thanks very much for this info. I am planning to clean the throttle body since the "butterfly" is sticking really bad, especially now that it is colder outside. I think I am going to replace the throttle/accelerator cable as well. The document you posted refers to two additional docs on page 2 that may help me with the cable replacement. Could you be so kind as to post those here? (adjust the cruise control actuator cable... see page 4-55 of the 1998-01 Accord L4 Service Manual. Adjust the throttle cable, see page 11-132). Thanks in advance.
