DIY 8th Gen Coupe LED Tail Lights
Below are the steps to install Eagle LED coupe tail lights. I didnít take as many pics as I should have but enough there should be no unexpected surprises if you attempt to do this on your own. Of course, follow my instructions at your own risk. I would say on a scale from 1 to 10, doing this install would be a 2.
8mm Wrench, Flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, 12mm socket and ratchet, magnet is recommended.
First pop your trunk, on each side of the bumper where the bumper is tucked into the trunk when the lid is closed. There is a small bolt cover pop it on each side with a flat spot on each one where you can place your flathead screwdriver and pop out those clips. After you remove those bolt cover pop it on each side, the 12mm bolt will be exposed. Go ahead and grab your ratchet and 12mm socket and remove each of the two bolts. While you are up top inside of the trunk go ahead and remove the 2 flathead screw driver pop its that are at the top of the lining, closest to the trunk opening so you can pull the trunk lining back and have access to the plugs that go to the tail lights.
After that, look inside your fender well, on my car with the HFP kit, there was four Phillips screws to remove that hold the bumper to the fender lining. The 4 screws you removed are slightly different in size the two smaller screws go up top, and the two bigger screws go on the bottom holes in case you forget.
