Did Sonata Have Sex With an 8th Gen

Is it me or does the 2013 look like the offspring of an 8th Gen and a Hyundai Sonata?

Did Sonata Have Sex With an 8th Gen

The 8th gen was an unfortunate blip in the Accord timeline. I'm guessing the Sonata had to be pretty drunk....

God no. The Sonata is ugly. The front end is miserable. Typical overstyled korean car.

Then why are you wasting your time here? I only spend time browsing car forums that I like but you are not me otherwise you wouldn't be here.

The 9th Gen is really an updated 8th Gen. Cost cutting. Why develop an all-new body when there is nothing wrong with the old one. Save some $$$ there.

Hyudai is winning. So let's make Hondas look like a Hyundai. Other car makes have copy Honda for years. Now it's Honda's turn. Hyundai styling FTW.

I'm surprised Hyundai hasnt officially changed their logo. The same fugly crooked H is a lame copy of Honda and everytime I see it, even if on a Genesis or Equus still makes me think of the old Hyundai Accents and Elantras. I notice some Tiburon drivers changing the H to the T and some Genesis drivers changing to the wings, unless that one is OEM.

I personally think the 8th gen is still the best looking Accord. 7th Gen you expect to be driven by a 16 year old girl...maybe something to do with the lights that look like bikini tops.

9th Gen looks like Honda went the route of Toyota with the Camry.....inflated the trunk and added some creases.

I don't think the 2013 Accord looks nothing like the 8th gen and Hyundai Sonata. I really like the all new design. I don't like the current gen Sonata. I like the previous gen more. Much better looking.

I think 6th gen and 8th gen and now the 9th gen are some great looking accords. they look beautiful and sporty. I've never been a fan of Hyundai, but I can't really critique them since I haven't drove any of their new cars, they look cool but I don't know, just don't see myself ever buying one.

Never seen one on the street with it.

Apparently the wing emblem is standard on the Korean versions and some dealers offer them or owners get them on eBay.

The new gen Equus line do sport the H on the trunk and what looks to be a pegasus on the front. Originally these cars did not show the Hyundai logo as they wanted to differentiate them from Hyundai and were even considering making them their own entity entirely. I guess now that Hyundai has better market presence and a more favorable opinion in the eyes of consumers they no longer fear that people won't be willing to spend $50k+ on something that says Hyundai.
