Rear motor mount ... solenoid?

I have a 92 accord LX with an automatic transmission, which shakes badly while stopped while in gear and with foot on the brake. I am planning on replacing the rear motor mount. I see it has a solenoid, and understand that it purpose is to "lift the rear of the engine" or help reduce vibration at certain rpms or when engine is under load at certain rpms.

Either way, my question pertains to the solenoid. I see that on the back of the solenoid there is a rubber boot with a short rod sticking out. the rod on my car appears to be broken as it does not connect to anything. It appears that the part that it broke off from, connects underneath the motor mount (hard to see, as I didn't have much head room under the car). Do you think the rod comes with the solenoid? Am I missing something? Should it be connected? I would appreciate any input, as I am not actually a master mechanic.

Also, I understand that I should replace the front left mount as well (as those two sounded like the most probable suspects). Thank you very much in advance. Buffmin
