hey im not sure if its just me but ive bumped into an audio problem with my 01 accord. i know there are stickys regarding the radio problems but my radio works fine. its just my cd player thats not working. i dont know whats wrong with it. i insert a cd and it just automatically ejects it out. i have a 6 disc cd changer and all 6 cd slots eject it out. i tried searching for similar threads but no luck. so this is my last resort by creating my own thread... any help would be greatly appreciated. please and thanks in advance!
i even went as far as taking apart my whole console and unplugged the harness to the radio for a minute or so and plugged it back in. i found my serial # code and entered it in but no luck. i also borrowed my friends maxwell cd cleaner thing and still no luck. PLEASE HELP ! the radio can only do so much for me...
A friend had a similar issue with the stereo in her Civic. The dealer adjusted a spring or something in the stereo and it was fine. I don't remember how much it cost her. Stop by the dealer or call them to see if they can give you some info about a possible fix. They may have seen this issue before.
hi i posted this thread under audio & electronics and wasnt aware that it was the wrong category. Now to start, HENCE THE TITLE, the cd player in my 2001 accord ex v6 sedan wont play any cd's. it is a 6-disc cd changer and everytime i put a cd in, it automatically ejects by itself. radio works fine. dont know what the problem is. help please? i even went as far as taking out the head unit, unplugged the harness for the radio for about a minute or so, plugged it back and restarted the system. entered my radio code but still no luck.
This [original] thread has been moved to Problems & Solutions. I deleted the double post.
My CD player in a 2005 Accord stopped working. Although it was full, it kept saying 'load' but would not accept or eject disks.
I went to a local car audio shop. He told me this is a common problem in '02-06 Accords.
He gave me 2 options- for somewhere between $2-300, they'd take the whole unit out and fix. The 'whole' unit includes all the temperature gauges, so I'd be not only without a radio, no heat or AC for the week it'd take to fix. Or, he'd put a single playing CD in the dashboard holder. I'm not crazy about either option and I do miss my CDs.
I tried to disconnect the battery as is suggested here, but now it won't even go into CD mode and the display looks like it's empty of CDs even though all 6 are full.
Little help? What about bitching to Honda if they know this is a common problem?
