Last week I hit a beaver with my rear wheels or somewhere under the car. :/ Very crappy feeling.. The day after I noticed that my e-brake is super loose. So loose that I can basically fling it upward for a number of clicks. It still holds but only after its engaged all the way up.

Do you guys think it is a coincidence or did it tear or knock something out of spec? Anyone have any pointers on how to adjust it? Is it self adjusting?

You probably knocked off the hand brake cable bracket that attaches to a lever on the hub assembly. Take a look under there, you should see something loose.

I might faint if I see a beaver head. :lmao:

With that said, the e-brake was starting to show wear, but definitely didnt require nearly the same amount of travel room as now.

I guess it did screw something up. :thumbsdow

Is the beaver okay?

That beaver is probably singing choruses in heaven.

It's good to see folks using their parking brakes.

Last year, was in the Catskills, was coming down a small road..out of the woods comes this big deer and runs in front of my car, luckily I wasn't going to fast...Whew..the damage would have been intense.. For a NYC guy, we usually only get the 2 legged kind:D in front of my car...LOL:thmsup:

Ran over a chipmunk just days after getting my car. No trace of it that I can tell.

THIS! The bracket got knocked off so no more tension where there should be tension. Not covered under warranty. Be brave and get under there.

Like General Maximus, the beaver will have his vengeance- in this life or the next.

I will post a picture in a few moments.. If you can give me some pointers you are the man!!!

I totally flattened a woodchuck at 70 last week. About once a month I take out something In the animal kingdom.

I have a decaying bird inside (behind) in my lowered grill that I hit in the spring, I have not felt compelled to get it out.

Haha, in fact I am watching Episode 2 right now. Anakin is a horny whiney bitch in that movie. Sad.
