Trading in for a 9th gen in a few years.

I bought a 2014 Kia Rio in the Summer of 2015 while it's a great smooth running car, I'm just used to Honda's. What model in the 9th generation is the best, the LX, EX, EX-L or Touring? There are advantages to all of them, the LX is cheaper, but I really like the leather interior?

I've had three 9th gen EX-L's and love them. They have the right mix of creature comforts and upgraded components.

The sport SE has leather seats, that would be in between the LX and EX-L right?

Yes it is between the LX and EX-L, but you basically get the features that the LX and Sport has, but the leather comes from the EX-L.

It was kind of a quick decision to buy the Rio, because my other car before that was a Saab and it was just wearing out badly and I need something in my price range. I am a little disappointed it didn't come with cruise control, I specifically told the salesman I wanted cruise control.

A '14 vehicle without cruise control? Are you certain? That almost seems bizarre!

Go hard and get a Touring!

I would go with Sport SE with MT. From Kia Rio to Touring would be too much of a jump.

If you're considering the Honda Sensing option, it's not available on the Sport SE but it's available as an option on the LX, Sport, and then on EX and above, at least in the US. Don't know about Canada.

You can compare the 2017 sedan trim levels side-by-side by going here, and then click the button for Models & Specs and on that page click All Features and Specs. (Sorry, there's no direct link to All Features/Specs.)

You can only compare 6 trim levels at a time. So if you want to compare the Touring, you'll have to uncheck one of the others and check the box for Touring.

I'm a little sad though that Saab went out of business, GM really screwed up Saab.

I could see changing my 8th gen for a 9th in a few years.
Would not trade down to an I4. The V6 engine makes the car like clothes make the man.
Never mind my jeans and T shirt. Or something.

It was Saab that screwed up Saab. GM only bought it because it was for sale. Did GM buy Mercedes Benz?

No. They are out of Europe with their recent sale of Vauxhall/Opel.

I mean the Touring looks like the Sport, or the Sport looks like the Touring. LOL 2nd vote Touring unless they want a manual.
