I have an Acura CL, or 97 accord ex two door, and I am having a hell of a time with it :(... I thought my clutch was going out because once my car warmed up if I put too much force on the throttle the tach would shoot up like it isn't catching anymore. I replaced the clutch when this started happening, and that did not solve the problem for me. Here is another symptom, when I depress the clutch fully when already started and in neutral the car acts like the clutch is actually being disengaged...? It tries to go forward very slowly, and actually shudders like you were starting out from first gear. Also, when you try to shift when the car is started you cannot push the clutch all the way to the floor because it wont shift into gear when you do so...I don't know if the two problems are related, but I would guess/hope they were. I am really upset with my car right now, and would really like some extra input. I have already checked the fluid levels, but have not checked the master/slave cylinders beyond visually looking for leaking fluid. Thanks.
