The Daytime Running Light Module(DRL) I have in my 1999 Accord LX, 2.3L Vtec has stopped working. The DRL light shows on the dash when I start the car and stays on. I have also noticed that the right front high light will not illuminate, but the low lights work fine!

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the DRL control module?
Is there an aftermarket replacement available for the unit?

The original Honda replacement unit costs $135!

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not sure on aftermarket replacement...
Check junkyards not a very popular item in US....
I believe DRL only available on Canadian models? Explains price

I believe that the DRL module is not only unavailable in the USA, but if you were to try to plug it onto a U.S. spec car, it wouldn't work. That's what I've heard. I wanted to do this mod because I've seen the benefits of DRL's firsthand, they are really much safer, but the price really discourages me. Are the lights actually not working or is it just the DRL dashboard light coming on?

The low lights work fine but right high beam doesn't. I think that this is related to the module. Honda has done this to ensure you replace the DRL module, instead of disconnecting it.

In Canada you must have your headlight on when you are moving!

Frustrated!
