Hi there my first post here. I just recently got a 97 accord coupe and the instrument panel works fine (dimer too) all the lights work except the all the gauge lights (like the speedometer, tachometer etc) don't light up. Can anyone help me with this? I figure since its all of them it must be a wiring maybe a fuse and not the bulbs themselves.

I would guess its a fuse. Replace it, but if it blows again there is a problem that needs to be fixed.
Thanks for the welcome  . So i checked the manuals princess posted (thanks for providing princess) and another one that i downloaded (shop manual). It seems that the fuse 1 under the dash controls the gauge bulbs and also runs the clock, only problem is that my clock works fine.
So any other ideas before i go and madly rip out all my fuses or totally dismantle the dash to get to the bulbs (man that sounds like work ugh). Again all the instruments work, all other lights in and outside work, everything works in terms of all other electrical systems i believe. Just the lights from teh gauge bulbs which control the needle pointers are not lighting up.
I changed the fuse today...no change, well dunno what to do now maybe ill attempt to change the bulbs or get a voltage meter to see if their even getting power
