I just posted on how to do my own fluid change on a 2005 accord?? I also would like to know a good place to purchase the transmission fluid. My local dealer wants about $6.5 a quart which sounds high.

I would also like to buy a couple of air and cabin filters. Maybe I can do a mail order, although I guess the shipping cost will be high. Any ideas on what site I might try to search for these items and other honda stuff???

I picked up 4 bottles of ATF along with a bottle of touch-up paint and a cabin air filter from Bernardi Parts (http://www.bernardiparts.com/) the other day. Shipping (~ $13) would have killed the deal if it weren't for the $30 off coupon they gave me for buying an extended Honda Care warranty from them.

You can also print out the prices from the above places and see if your dealer will either match the prices or give you a better deal.

Unless you're going to order a lot of stuff, it may actually end up cheaper to buy from your local dealer. Or stock up on a few of each item to get a better deal.

Thanks for your response. One other note. You mentioned a warranty, do you know if bernardi's will do a warranty on a 2005 accord with 29000 miles. It is still in the 36,000 manufacturer period?? I tried once, but I didn't see an option for a 2005. I saw 2006 and 2007.

optimist, call them. They can do a warranty still.

I forget where but you can still get an extended warranty for your car. My car is the same ('05 and about 29k) and I found it for like 1100. It gave you till 80 months or something. I don't remember exactly but somewhere up there.

Have you tried eBay? Just picked-up 4 quarts of ATF, a gallon of VTM-4 (for my Pilot), a pint of brake fluid, an oil filter, and some crush washers, all for about $50 delivered.

Do you know if the transmisstion crush washers are 18mm. I was getting ready to buy some online, just want to be certain. Also i believe the oil washer is 14 mm. Can someone verify before I place my order.

My car is a 2005 honda accord v6.
