you have your window lock on. push the button again, and you can use your windows again :lmao:

Nope. Can't be the window lock. The drivers window cannot be locked. The lock only locks passenger windows.

Well its weird that you have this issue, but the windows are on two different fuses, so I doubt that's the reason. Only think I can think of would be your master switch.

They sure don't make Hondas mike they used to. Does your window roll down if you use the passenger switch?

are you sure about that? when i first got my accord, my friend and i were messing around. she wanted the windows up, i wanted them down, so we commenced in a window rolling battle. eventually, i used the lock function, but to my sad realization, i couldn't roll mine either. i'm pretty sure that's how i remembered it. i'll give it a try tomorrow.

I tested it in my Accord before I came and replied.

I doubt they changed it.

Im pretty sure Accordlover is right about the drivers window not locking.

Agreed.... Maybe some cars are just 'odd'?
(Or maybe like BMW's where the dealer can customise things like these...)

I know its not the window lock. I tried everything only the back ones work. But if i switch it down it moves a bit like its stuck. Maybe since we had snow and rain yesterday and last nite was freezing almost 0 F...you guys think the water got in there and froze?

Doubting water got in your window channel/motor and froze, if it did there's something wrong with your window seals.

Guess you should take it to the dealer, but its still really weird, becuase the front windows arn't even on the same power. The only thing that connects them is the master switch.

That's why you have a warranty. Go get it fixed at the dealer. Unless it or something else weird like that happens again, I wouldn't be too concerned. I haven't heard of this being a big problem on these cars...

The water thing is what I would go with. My friend just washed his car like 3 days ago and when he took it out later that day his windows didnt roll down right away.

sounds to me like the felt is frozen to the window, and the motor has a safeguard from pulling (or pushing) too hard so it doesn't burn out. Temps here in the northeast are into the low 30's today - has it started to work yet? If not, then might be an issue - although it's very strange that both front wiindows stopped at the same time.

I guess the freezing temp last nite froze the window probably the water that was in there. When I got in this morning both windows rolled down  first try so I guess its ok. Should I have the dealer check the seal on the window anyways?

Sometimes the windows do freeze...we had other members with this problem. If you want you can try putting a very light layer of Shin-Etsu around the seals, it might help

Nah - mine do the same thing - Accord and Pilot. Shoot - even my wife's 93 Legend did the same thing. Honda-ism. :lmao:

Mine did this after the ice storm we had here a week or two ago. Granted the whole car was covered in about a half inch of ice, so I wasn't expecting much of the power windows at the time. My Civic used to do this when I'd wash it and it would get below freezing at night - usually some time in the sun took care of it.

Nope its not water in the doors freezing up. There are weep holes in the door. If water got in there and didn't exit the car would rust apart & the doors would be so heavy after a couple of years. Also all the electrical connections in there would short & blow the fuses. The windows were probably frozen to the channels.

the window lock does lock the drivers door on my car.

Thank god for my garage. Never had this problem yet.
