Before I purchased my 07 Accord SE I-4 cylinder, I test drove about four different v6 accords and they all were plagued with with this weird shifter wiggle. After getting familiar with the car and starting it, I would move the shifter into D and drive off. As I was driving, I noticed that the shifter would wiggle or have some play in it. With your hand, you could wiggle the shifter around and it seemed almost loose!!!! I test drove my 4 cylinder SE, and the shifter was firmly in place in D and does not move or wiggle or have any play in it!!! WTF? I know this may seem weird, but coming from owning many Hondas, I have come to expect things to fit and function firmly when new. I like to rest my hand on my shifter when I drive, and I it would drive me nuts wiggling the shifter around when it is on D! Anyone else have an automatic V6 with play in thei shifter? I test drove four new cars and they all had this same problem!!!!! My 4 cylinder however does not.
