Help please. I've searched and searched but could not find any DIY on how to go about in changing the tranny fluid in an 03 V6. I was reading the manual and it says to "remove the fill plug" to add fluid. Is the fill plug the same as the dipstick? or is there another way of pouring the tranny fluid in. I can probably find the drain bolt in the bottom of the tranny but if you can pinpoint the exact location of it, it'll be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I know my sig says 06 V6 6MT, its actually for a friend of mine who im helping change the tranny fluid this weekend. :)

I'm not sure if the 5AT's have a fill plug. I know that on Odysseys, when they switched to the 5AT they made you fill through the dipstick because they put a jet kit on the fill plug. But if there is a fill plug, it should be 17mm and read ATF across the top. It should be on the top of the transmission of course...but it is not the same as the dipstick.

The drain plug will be very obvious. It will have a square opening in the center of the bolt for you to insert a 3/8" drive ratchet. This is the only bolt on the entire car probably that will have this feature.

since its an 03, it most likely will have the oil jet kit installed, so you will have to use the dipstick hole.
