I just stumbled on this today while searching for some quick tips on cleaning my IAC valve.

Awesome site!

I am the orignal owner of my 1994 Accord which I purchased in January of '94. My baby has taken me everywhere! We've been up and down the west coast I don't how many times and definately all over Washington state.

I've got over 250,000 miles and she still runs as good as the day I took her home. This is all on the original engine and transmission. Of course I've had to change the consumables; clutch (once), brakes, one CV joint, several sets of brakes, replaced the OEM struts with KYB adjustable struts, new front rotors (just last week), headlight bulbs and several sets of tires. I converted the tail lights and running lights to LED's a while back so I haven't had to worry about a burn out. She doesn't leak a single fluid or blow any smoke either. I clean out the EGR passes every so often when I start to hear the engine ping knowning that they're probably clogged again. The list goes on...

The body is still in great shape. In fact people that see it cannot believe that it has that kind of mileage and still has a high gloss finish. I've been in a couple of accidents so I cannot claim that all of the paint is original but the body shop that I use has one of the best paint facilities that I've ever seen.

What are my secrets?

Change the oil every 3000-5000 miles
Take care of the smaller items early before they become a big and/or expensive job

My Accord's little brother is a 2005 VFR motorcycle which just flipped 10,000 miles a couple weeks ago.

Can you tell I like the open road?

Welcome!! That's quite a bit of miles but I'm sure you can go another 250k miles with it. They're indestructible!!
