Hey...I'm Nick. Live in Georgetown, SC, go to school in Columbia, SC (@ USC  ). I share a 2000 Honda Accord EX-V6 w/my sister when I'm at home during the longer school breaks. Car bought new in Roswell, GA as Mom's car. Never left the southeast, rust free. Car has ~98,000 last I heard. Still on the first transmission (fluid's been changed twice), so hopefully it'll last. Had the alternator crap out @ 85K (GM/Delphi junk :thumbsdow ). EGR went @ 93k. Got rid of those crappy Michelin MXV4s @ 89K. Put some Goodyear TripleTreads on...fantastic tires  Got some pictures in the link below (after I detailed it). Great site here...seems to be non-rice unlike most 'cord forums.

Welcome and enjoy it here. So how do you decide who's turn it is to have the car?

Thanks y'all! Things do get interesting at home. Pretty much she has say over the car and she's younger than me :dunno: I do detailing (as you can see) during the summer, so if I have a job and she doesn't need it...I take it. I need to detail it again when I go home this summer...last I saw it, it needed some TLC badly. Hopefully I won't have to post about car maintenance issues, but 100K is coming up quickly :paranoid:

you have to do the timing belt, water pump, other random seals, and a basic tune up at 90k so save up some money

here's what i would do.....
quit doing anything with the car. then, when the finish starts to look bad, you can point a finger at her, only because she is the one who has "priority" over driving it....
i see it as this: if she is going to be the primary driver, then she should be taking care of everything, not you...... end of story.....

Haha, I like your thinking about not touching it. I'm not touching it cleaning wise unless I see some greenbacks in my hand. :D The tires are a thousand miles overdue for rotation. I'll get them rotated when I'm home.
I took the car in @ 90,000 miles to the Honda dealer up in Surfside Beach...they performed a slew of things to the car. It was not cheap...Didn't enjoy that bill  I'll update the thread in a month when I get home to confirm that we are on track for maintenance if that' aight.
