I just wanted to give a comment...I've used Armor All's spray on wheel cleaner on my Ex's wheels, and it does a spectacular job. They say you don't need to wipe it, nd you don't, but a little wipe afterward makes them shine.
It also makes cleaning the wheel inside the tire much easier, with a little contortion on your part. (Smaller hands help too)
I can wipe mine down with a sponge and they look like new.

I don't care for the shine though. I prefer something along the lines of 3M Rubber Treatment & Tire Dressing. It makes the tires black, as in carbon black.

But, to each his own!

The product you choose to use is to suit your personal preferance, but their are so many brands that to personally test each and make your own determination would take years...... So here is an article that explains quite a lot about the care techniques used by several detailers..at least you know what you
need when going shopping.

Enjoy the read..

No no, it's the wheel cleaner, not for the tires. But funny coincidence, I use that 3m on my tires too, I hate the shiny tires look - very cheap.

I just put Armor All rubber/vinyl/plastic/whatever protectant on the tires. It doesn't have too much shine when it dries.

:o I just blew right past that not paying attention to what you had actually said. I use P21S about every 3 months on the wheels. I just bought Sonax & will be trying that next. I usually wax them every 6 weeks. I was using Meguiar's #26, but am now using Meguiar's #20. I like the #20 much better.

hmmm...maybe I should check out P21 or another non acid-based cleaner, I like the stuff I use, but in the back of my head I wondered about long term effects on the finish. But for now they look great.
