View Full Version : Close windows via remote key
Wolffit 07-01-2004, 06:10 AM So the 04 Accord EX can open the windows from the key remote, by holding the unlock button for a few seconds. Holding the lock button down does not do the same thing. I'm guessing this is possible to accomplish with a bit of rewiring and such, but I wouldn't know where to start. Has anyone done this, and can you post some instructions?
Thanks.
uvman 07-02-2004, 03:30 AM I don't think you can roll the window up with the remote. But you can put the key in the driver's door lock the car, then turn the key to lock it again and hold it there, that will roll it up. The details are in the manual.

VTECaddict 02-27-2007, 09:25 PM KP technologies window up module.
The Pope 02-28-2007, 02:10 AM KP has several add on modules. Even though I haven't gotten any of them yet.

zro26t 03-15-2007, 04:27 PM Good info... bookmarked for future reference!
The Pope 11-29-2007, 11:31 AM I just placed an order with KP.
Ordered the window's up with the key flop, auto door lock/unlock & the speed sensor for the door lock/unlock and the relay pack.
So I guess that this means that I'll have to do a write-up on the install.
Terps_Fan 11-29-2007, 01:10 PM Good luck on the install and keep us updated on your progress. Those items are definately on my list, hopefully I'll have time to purchase and install them one of these days. If your install turns out to be feasible, that may provide some decent motivation for me to get it done.
alpha 11-29-2007, 09:26 PM I've had the KPTech window up module and "one-touch" sunroof module for a while. Great products.

Yup, I still have them installed.
mnkyman 11-30-2007, 10:00 AM kptech as people have said, theres multiple diy's for the installs on thier site as well as on g7a
i have the window up module, but if i could go back, i wouldn't have bouth it...
reason being, it immediately decreased the range of my keyfob by more than half...
its more like some guy making this out of his garage and selling them over the internet than an actual company

I'm curious, because my range decreased also; Have you tried taking it out and seeing if it brings back your range?
The Pope 11-30-2007, 11:21 AM As long as it works within 20 feet of the car, I'm good.
mnkyman 12-01-2007, 07:07 PM no, it was so much trouble installing it i dont want to bother with trying to take it back out...
sometimes, depending on what direction of the car im coming from and if there are other cars blocking me, my range could be as low as 4 feet...
if i knew about this before hand, i prolly would have just spent the money on a alarm with the lcd screen remotes, and then purchased an add on to roll the windows up
