Anyone install the factory OEM rear wing spoiler on their 03-04 sedan? I am contemplating doing this, but wonder if I really need the spring remover tool that Honda sells for $30 or if I can manage with a screwdriver and/or a pair of vice grips?

If anyone can give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it!

It's WAY easier with the tool!!!

My prince did ours in our garage. He seems to make everything look easy though. It comes with a template for where to drill. I HATED the idea of holes put in my new car for the spoiler & the foglights....but I really wanted both....so I didn't watch!! (the drilling):(

Other's here have done it too.

I just installed the wing on mine this weekend from spoilerdepot.com. I didn't remove the springs as the trunk still came open when you hit the switch on the remote, and it doesn't close THAT much quicker than it did---not enough for me to buy the springs and possibly the tool. Spoilerdepot had the wing for $240 painted and shipped to my door.

It looks great and has a lifetime warranty.

I'm going to go with the OEM spoiler......good friend owns the local Honda shop....makes it easier for me to install!

I put the springs in w/o the "special" tool. Used vice-grips and it was fine. My trunk springs up about 12" but still shuts easily...
