I read on BITOG that honda air filters aren't that good, I hv 6.5k mile in my car and planning to change the air filter. Any suggestions to what I should switch to? I read a lot good comments on Fram...?
Thanks in advance,

OEM is the best you can do for your car. Everything else has maybe marginally better flow at best, but much worse filtering capability.

Just looked up the part numbers for both the airbox filter and the HVAC filter...wow OEM isn't all that cheap. For the airbox, I figure I'll go OEM to play it safe (since I don't want an oiled filter like K&N anyhow), but for the HVAC one, does anyone know any better options?
Here is the info in case anyone is interested:
Airbox filter = 17220-RDA-A00 @ 20 USD <-- This was for the V6 btw.
HEPA filter = 80292-SDA-A01 @ 36 USD

HVAC check w/ Napa, usually Wix makes a filter for those. Bosch might too.

The stock air filter was replaced at about 16k with stock Honda dealer air filter. I replaced the pollen filter at Advance Autoparts. Here's what I did...
I walked in and asked if they had a pollen filter for my car, the parts guys looks it up and says he does and it's a Purolator. Having heard a lot about Puro's Pure One and Premium plus oil filters, I felt comfortable with their reputation for filtration prowess and since it was only roughly 15 bucks, I knew it was in all likelihood a lot cheaper then Hondas. I paid, he helps me install it and voila, my car responds with better breathing.
The end.
ohh, the air filter under the hood is all Honda stock.
