I've noticed that when I'm listening to something particularly bassy (e.g. XM 81), when the bass thumps there is a vibration in the driver's door panel. Near as I can tell it seems to be coming from the area of the black/silver crisscrossed panel between the window and the armrest. Is this typical, or should I get the dealer to tighten something down?

I don't even have a subwoofer installed yet. :{

I've given up "hope" on those types of vibrations! I think we put alot of pressure on things to not vibrate at all, but what should we really expect when we turn the stereo way up with the bass up as well? ;)

You should hear the sounds in my husband's sentra when you turn the bass on at all! :lmao: Or even the vibrations my 03 Civic had when I turned that stereo up! (I would actually rest my arm on the door to help control the vibrations in there!)

How 's the driving going? I'm guessing it's getting alot better as the days pass? :)

Ayup, the driving's getting better. I still stall occasionally, but far less frequently and usually in a 'stressful' situation like when there's someone behind me at a short light. Today I was trying to go in reverse on an incline, and kept drifting forward, closer and closer to a light pole. Why? Because stupid me had it in 6th, not reverse. D'oh!

I know a little bit of vibration is to be expected, but this was a fairly annoying larger bit.

My husband keeps doing that in my car... he puts it in 4th instead of reverse... Drifted it right into the curb. Thankfully it cleared the curb and the tires were what hit! He had learned to drive a stcik on his 84 accord he had in college and in order to get into reverse, you had to shift thru the gears and then push down or something "weird" like that. He can't get used to just pushing it all the way over in neutral, then putting it in reverse instead of shifting thru all of the gears!

I haven't had any extensive vibration in mine yet, but I have the 5 spd, which only has the 120 watt stereo, so maybe that has something to do with it? (It's still a great stereo!)
