Nice Car for the age! Miles?
I see you have the leather shift knob too, nice touch :). I envy your grey interior, I still don't like the Jade int. color on my car very much, and I've had 11.5 years to get used to it :lmao: . The Red though, it shines so brightly. Very nice. What wax are you using?
Man that engine is clean!
Welcome to DA!

tyler is right: that darker red goes very well with the 5th gen coupe... especially in the sun like that... :notworthy

Thanks everyone for giving all the props for my car. I first bought it at 91000 miles on August 2006 to start my freshman year in college, now it has a little over 100000 miles. it cost me $5000 out the door, I could not have ask for a better car.

i assume that you have done that before? :dunno:
it's very time-consuming, but doable, if you have the right tools and knowledge...
as for me, i don't have the tools, knowledge, patience, nor confidence to do much past rotating tires and changing wiper blades... :paranoid: :lmao: :D

Hmmm. I think you need my 90k service percription!
I have a new and improved list. Enjoy!
90k Mile Prevennative Maitenance Service:
Remove and replace timing belt, timing belt tensioner, camshaft seal, water pump, Alternator, A/C, and P/S belts, spark plugs (wires every 60k), valve cover gasket, washers and spark plug seals. Adjust valves per factory specs. Drain Radiator, renew antifreeze, Drain and replace ATF/MTF with Honda ATF/MTF only, Lube doors, hood, and deck lid hinges and latches.
Inspect suspension and steering components. I.E. Tie rod ends and ball joint boots, Control Arm Bushings, Steering Rack boots, Drive Axle Boots, Exhaust Pipes,a nd Muffler. Fuel lines, brake lines, brake pads, rotors, calipers, shoes, and wheel cylinders for leaks and wear. Also, inspect cooling system components such as, Radiator and Hoses, Heater Hoses. Check operation of Headlights, Blinkers, Parking lights, windhseld wipers/washers.
My personal parts list. All Honda.
Valve Cover Gasket
Timing belt
Belt, Balance Shaft
Water Pump
Crank Seal
Camshaft Seal
Balance Shaft Seal
Balance Shaft Seal retainer
timing Belt Tensioner
Castrol GTX Oil
Oil Filter - Purolator
Drain Plug Washer
Antifreeze
Automatic Transmission Fluid (MTF for you obviously)
P/S Belt
A/C - Alternator Belt
Spark Plugs
Total - $354.00 before taxes.
Had mine done, and the car ran better than it did before. Signifigantly better. Quite amazing. I'm not in favor of this being done at home by a DIY'er, but that's your own risk. If that belt breaks, or isn't on right, you could bend the valves in your engine, ruining it. I highly suggest a Honsa specialist in the area, or a Dealer. Expect to pay $1100 at a dealer, and about $900 and an ind. for the above.

Im sorry for the misunderstanding, when I said Im planning on doing it next week I meant that the only thing I'm going to do is driving to a honda place. lol sorry again.
I also already did most of the list you have, I'm just planning on doing the timing belt and pump.

Have you done the valve adjustment? Also, check your tubes to see if they have oil on them. It's common about the age for 5th gen Hondas. My cam tower o-rings were beginning to fail at 88k. Just as a side note, Seals are best fixed before they leak, so if your Valve cover gasket was original or old, I'd replace it.
Let us know how she drives afterwards!

Wow! You really got a great car there. So clean, which makes it quite rare. I love that it's got the stock stereo, and the CD player. Keep it clean! Love that color. My friend has a DX sedan in that color. He had it repainted a few years ago, so now it looks like an LX. His was an automatic, but it's a manual now.
Brownie points for finding a stock EX with a manual transmission.
Enjoy it here and welcome.
