I have heard alot about this wax, some of it here on this site. I just put my first order in $84.70 plus shipping. It will be worth it if it works. I have not been happy with the other waxes that I have used on my car. So I guess I will have to wait and see!

what do you guys use to remove the previous layer of wax? I was once told to use ammonia in the wash water. I just dont know if I am comfortable with that.

I've heard (and used) Dawn dish detergant to remove the old wax.

Let me know if you like it more than the others you've used!

I think all you need to do is wash your car with Dawn dishwashing liquid to strip the old wax off. I think Zaino even mentions this in their instructions.

my1staccord,

What other wax/sealants have you used in the past?

To remove old wax I use one of 2 products. Either P21S Total Auto Wash or Wurth Citrus Degreases. The Wurth is very concentrated so I only use 1-2 capfuls per 5 gallon bucket.

I've used dawn because the Zaino website reccomends it but, recently I used Mothers pre-wax cleaner prior to zaino for great results. I think in my situtation it's hard to remove all the water spots with the hard water I have. Zaino will not remove water spots but actually covers over them so they still show through. Haveing a black car does not help either. Mother's pre- wax did a great job removeing everything before useing the zaino. when you do use the Zaino remember to use up and down strokes on the sides and end to end strokes (In the direction of bumper to bumper) for hood roof and trunk. Absolutely wonderfull stuff!! and you can layer it!
