Paralyse

Greetings...
My 06 V6/6MT sedan has a loud ticking noise that has been getting progressively worse over the past few months to the point now that if i run it in my garage it sounds like a very loud ticking (think very badly adjusted valves.) I had one of my techs check it out here at work. He used a stethoscope and said the injectors are extremely noisy and the source of the noise, not the valves.
Anyone had similar issues with their 3.0? I never run cheap gas, only premium from Chevron. I was told it may be related to higher levels of ethanol in the fuel. The Honda dealership is telling me that unless an injector has failed that they can't warranty it (e.g. stuck open/closed.) It's embarrassing at drive-throughs and stoplights. All my shop/tech/work experience is in Nissan and Chrysler Corp so I am not familiar with what is "normal" for a Honda motor. They did also tell me that the valves are supposed to be adjusted every 15,000 miles, but I have not had that done.
21,000 miles on the car, btw.
TIA for any help.
