I saw it bearing teeth the other day. The plastic chrome is coming off the back side of the inside drivers door handle. The stuff is thick and has a sharp edge. I guess the wife raked her finger across it the wrong way and Ruby bit her. LMAO.
Soooo its off to get a new assemble and put it on. Cant have the Accord biting the wife.
Or can I???? Hummmm,,,, wonder if I leave this alone and it bites her several more times I can get her to trade it for a 5MT Accord, Or a HCHII, A Civic Si sedan. The possiblitys are limited but real....
Hummmmmm (not)

Weird. I've been in a 2003 Sonata with peeling chrome handles. The stuff was flaking off though, so I doubt it could cut anyone :lmao: .
You've had quite a few Accord issues. Sorry to hear about another.

Sweet theft detterant system!
LOL! My girl had the same thing happen to her a few weeks ago. Haven't gotten around to having it fixed yet. I don't even know if this would fall under warranty anyway. I'm already at 56k miles on my 05, but when I bought it, the warranty was extended up to 100k... :dunno:

I'd leave it like it is and enjoy the passive-aggressive entertainment.

This happened in my wife's '03 Civic. She cut herself. It's funny how she wants me to leave her car alone (not mod/take care of it), yet, when there is a problem, she wants me to save her. Women :dunno:
I just Dremeled a little bit of the sharp stuff off and that seemed to work.

Our door handles are chrome? That'd be nice looking...

Interior door handles are. Aren't yours?

I thought we were talking about the aftermarket outside ones.
My brother's 01 Prelude interior pass door handle is doing this. And yes, that peeling is sharp! It's not visible since it faces "inside" the little nook so I filed it down for him.

It should be covered. The part doesn't cost much. Her cars bumper to bumper is long gone. And I wont buy a extended warranty. We do have a agreement with Honda because of some of our past issues. :naughty: But this isn't worth my time to take in and have a dealer jerk around with it. The part is like $15 bucks and there in stock at all times. I can pick it up after work. A beer later it will be installed. I mite take the bad one back in and get a credit or something.
I must say the last few months Honda has been easy to get a long with. When we got the fuel pump relay recall. I called a dealer and they came and picked up her car and returned it to her at work repaired. And they did replace the relay. I put a sticker on it with "HI" written on it.
