The gosslings are out and about and the protective mom and dad geese and running around like feathered pitbulls keeping harm away from them. This is the scene that I'm encountering more and more every morning when running at a nearby lake.

It got me thinking - How babdly does a goose bite hurt? Any one else run into fowl trouble? Suggestions?

At the least, I'm sure in the near future they'll be moving on to more remote parts of the lake once hte babies are more mobile. But in the mean time, they're a pain in the butt. And the crap all over the place. Ugh . . . .

I can tell you first hand that they can raise on hell of a welt on your skin if they get hold of you. They will also fly up and get in your face, literally. A fowl to be reckoned with!!
