So, my alternator went out on my 2003 EX V6 coupe... where can i find the cheapest replacement?? I went to a local auto parts store and asked for an OEM replacement and they said it was gonna be 260 bucks, then I asked em how much a rebuilt alt was... he said that was the rebuilt price. I've been looking around online and as of now, haven't found anything. Thanks for the help!

Grab that old phone book with both hands, flip it open to the yellow pages and look under "automibile electric service" to find some rebuilders in your area. Same program as with axles!

If you don't see any listings, ask some local independent garages guys who they use for rebuilding. Most put in rebuilts instead of rebuilding - another fading art.

A local auto bone yard might also be just the ticket.
