2007 Accord VP, 4 cyl automatic, Royal Blue / grey interior
I need advice
The stereo settings indicate a front/read fader, but with this model there are no rear speakers. Should I expect to find wiring there?
Should be there. Just pop the trunk and see if you can see any wiring leading to the holes where the speakers should be.
phoenix 05-26-2007, 03:36 PM From what people have posted in the past (do a search and you should find something) the wiring should be there, all you need to do is get some 6x9s. I upgraded mine and still have the factory ones available.
PM me if interested, I'll let them go for cheap.
My wife and I too picked up a new 2007 Accord VP MT Royal Blue with interior. There are indeed wires already in place for speakers in the rear deck! So far we love the car, and can't believe the price! We're still waiting to see how the fuel economy ends up, but so far so good.
WolfpackBill 05-27-2007, 03:29 AM Yep! There're wirings there. All you have to do is to drop some new 6x9's in and you're good to go!
Congrats!!!!!! Now post some pics!

We think this car is terrific also! I will be using this for business, mostly.
I just ordered the Weather Tech molded mats for it.
http://www.weathertech.com/
I have these on our Acura MDX and they are worth every penny. They are a tough plastic and surprisingly thin and lightweight. They fit the floor like a glove, have raised edges to keep dirt/water/snow/slush inside of the mats, and are easily removed and washed when you wash the car. (The MDX carpeting is still like new with zero effort.)
I ordered them for the front and rear in gray (rear is one piece and goes over the floor hump in the center). I also ordered the one for the trunk (only comes in black). Now I can put anything in there without staining or damaging the interior of the trunk.

Thanks for the offer, but, the whole point of starting with the VP package was to use it as a platform for upgrades.
I am seriously loving the Acura TL wheels as you have on your car, but since the 4cyl cars have a different hub, I was wondering if the backspacing and lock to lock steering clearance will be OK.
I am also thinking that I probably should paint the calipers and drums now, while they are new, with caliper paint, before they get rusty. Then when I install the TL rims, and they show the brakes through the five spokes, it will look nice already. :)

The TL wheels have no clearance issues. They drop right in without a problem. You'll love'em!

The 1998 - 2002 Accords were the last models that had different wheel fitment between 4 and 6 cyl models. You can use any 2003+ Accord or current gen TL wheels with no problem. On my 2006 2.4L EX-L I have the 17" 9 spoke alloys from a V6 Accord.
Congrats on the new ride.

If I were you, I would've just had the dealer throw inthe Honda Trunk Mat and all season floor mats. They say Accord on them, and they're durable. My dad had them on his 03 Accord. Just a thought for next time!
Congrats!

They were the only Accords that ever had this. All previous ones were 4 lugs.
Foreign_Wide 05-27-2007, 01:45 PM Thanks everyone!

By the way, I looked and the wiring for the rear speakers is there.
Next question.
Do you think I have tweeters on the dash?
WolfpackBill 05-27-2007, 01:59 PM Nope, no tweeters. I'm sure you can install some there. Just run some wires and that's all you have to do.
