Hi there, does anybody know much about the quality and reliability of the replica wheels that are out there? I'm trying to get a set of 4 OEM wheels for my '98 EX.

I've seen a few of these companies offering "replica" OEM wheels on ebay.

The pictures on the second one look impressive, but I don't know much about the reputation of these replica wheels.

Anybody have any good or bad experiences with replica wheels? Is this generally known as something to avoid?

Thanks. I can already get the actual OEM wheels from the Honda dealer for $158. The only ones that are significantly cheaper are the replica wheels so I was wondering if the replica wheels are something to be avoided, bad reputation, etc.

I just don't know much about them and I'm sure if I call the replica manufacturers they'll say that they're perfectly good. Just curious if you guys knew anything more about the topic.

I personally don't have any experience with replica wheels for Honda's. They seem to be a more "recent"release than for some of the other cars out there. I've used replica wheels on my Corvette and they were fine. The only thing that I've noticed is that they tend to be a little heavier than the OEM ones. I don't know if that is a major concer to you or not. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with them, but for that price you can also get a set of cheap "tuner" wheels if you wanted to.

replica tuner wheels such as rotas. the slipstream off the rotas are the replicas for some mugen rim. sometimes u can find cheap oem rims off ebay just gotta watch it. check out craigslist too
