Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of buying a '07 SE i4 and have come across the following issue while looking at possible accessories.

From the collegehillshonda.com site:

Fog lights and the accessory Outside Temperature Gauge CANNOT be installed together. If your vehicle has the temperature gauge standard from the factory Fog Lights can be installed.

Does anyone know why the 2 can't be installed together? Is it due to the temp control unit being mounted in the same location as the fog light relay? A wiring / fuse issue?

I'd appreciate any info on how accurate the statement is and/or workarounds. Thanks.

if you had a factory installed temperature then you are able to add fog lights to your car

however, if you did not have it factory installed (temperature) then you can only have one or the other...due to location/wiring..blah blah blah..

Bottom line is there's only 1 accessory wire between the fuse box area and the wiring harness inside the engine compartment on the LX or SE. You have to choose factory fogs or factory temp gauge. You could always go aftermarket with the fogs and wire separately. On my '05 LX I opted for the thermometer since, IMHO, the fogs aren't needed with the headlight placement on the Accord.

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like I may take Andy's suggestion and go with the outside temp gauge, since the headlights are probably perfectly fine for most situations. But, to be honest, I think the fog lights make the front end look more substantial or maybe more complete. The only thing I don't like about the styling of the Accord is the blandness of the front end below the grill and headlights. Maybe I'll mount some el-cheapo ebay fog lights and not wire them in... :D

tie your fog lights into the same fuse or just add an in-line fuse from autozone for $2.00.
