Anyone know if the Honda logo on the trunk of the Accord is on with the same foam tape as the Accord emblem?

Actually, I wanted to remove it all together. I took off the "Accord" logo since it was on with just tape. I was hoping that the "H" was on the same way, and I wouldn't have holes in the trunk. Oh well, maybe I'll just look for a replacement emplem in a darker shade, like CF, or a charcoal color.

Thanks!

To know for absolutely sure, you could go to a dealer & see if they'll show you replacement or gold ones.....if they did away with the pins in the Accord thing, maybe they did it on the "H" too!

When the Civics grew bigger having the car say "Accord" was even more important to me..... of course NOT having the "H" gives others less reason to mess with the car! There for a while kids were swiping them off & I rarely saw a Honda with it's "H" intact! I think it's slowed down here though....maybe they moved on to something different.....

I believe they should have a black chrome emblem for the car by now? I don't know haven't checked.

Can you suggest a vendor or 2? I'd like to check it out, but am having a little trouble finding it on the web.

GREAT suggestion! I'll see if they would be willing to tell me over the phone. Save me a trip!

Okay, they still have the pins. Bummer. I guess they are there to make sure everything is centered and straight. Does anyone know what it would cost to have them filled, or if someone makes a plug?

I guess I'm mistaken, I went to the Honda website and didn't see any black emblem kits, only gold. If you're still interested, handa-accessories.com is a good site.

There is a guy (I think called irishcream? or something like that) who debadged the rear H and had the holes filled. Look in the gallery section, he calls his car carmen.

I painted mine black using Krylon Fusion paint. If you want it black I'd go that route I used a satin black but you can probably use a high gloss to give it more of a chrome look if that's what you're looking for. Way cheaper and only takes a little bit of time and has held up perfect so far.

Personally I think it looks better with the 'H' logo and just taking off the "Accord" and/or "V6" emblems. The trunk has a weird curve to it, in my opinion, and the H helps distract from it
