The steering wheel, door panel, and radio/air conditioner buttons kinda looks Civic-ish to me.

And it's probably gonna be a PITA to swap out that stereo. :yuck:

Well it looks like it's an evolution of the 7th Gen dash, but I'm not sure I like it. Don't like the spokes on the steering wheel either, but maybe once I see it in person it may be different.

Looks like BMW 5-series plus Honda Civic...two of my least favorite dashboards in the business. Yuck.

BTW, shouldn't this be in the new 8th gen forum?

Sorry, didn't know we had one.

Mods feel free to move it.

As far as radios go, in the current Civic, Honda has a dash kit for the DX model which has no stereo that you can use to install an after-market single din HU. I would assume you could take the stereo kit for a lower model Accord possibly and do the same. :dunno:

Upon closer examination, it also has the button-busyness of a Benz. It looks like there's way too many buttons lined crammed into that center stack. Not as clean as the current dash. I wonder if a higher-end model with auto climate control would have less buttons? It looks like every model will have that far-removed screen up in the top of the dash, whether it has nav or not. Kind of like BMW.

And what do you suppose that smaller knob is above the volume one? It looks like it could be the nav joystick, but that's a low-end model with manual single-zone climate control and cloth seats. So it can't be nav. A control interface for the computer, a la iDrive?

theres only a few more buttons than the current model...namely the MP3 buttons (title, folder, etc). theyre just all grouped together now so it looks like a lot.

not sure what that small knob could be. it might actually be an idrive type thing if they use an actual LCD on all models instead of a regular quartz display...then that knob could be used to switch between screens or something. but then again, there wont be many screens (if any) to switch between since the climate control info is all represented by the buttons already, so it only needs to display audio info. maybe its just used for sound control (fade, balance, bass, treb)?

I like it overall. Still not for audiophiles. No upgrades.

but that's a low-end model with manual single-zone climate control and cloth seats.

If this is indeed an "LX" level trim possibly because of the cloth seats and lack of auto or dual climate control, it would seem that honda has now equipped stereo controls on the steering wheel. Unless this is an "SE" trim...

I like the overall look of the interior. I'm still not sure how I feel about the recessed look of the screen. Most likely done to reduce glare, but I think it slightly ruins the overall look.

wow, that thing look like it can use some inprovement. too cluttered up, i thin the EXs might have a few less button since it'll have climate control thus no need fro vent control buttons.

I'm not liking the streering wheel, and the radio looks almost like the radio in the mazda3. From the picture I'm not overly impressed, but it might look better in person.

there are too many buttons.... it looks too busy.....

i hate it.... :thumbsdow

7th gen accord please! :deal:

EDIT: not liking the steering wheel design either... don't like it on the civic, or the other models.... i personally prefer the regular 4 spoke....

The center stack, my favorite aesthtic part of the 7th gen is gone:mad:

Looks very cluttered...so far not a fan AT ALL of the imterior.

However, I think I may like the steering wheel, not sure yet - need more pics or to see in person.

Hm. The exterior I like. The interior is way too busy, though. I've gotten used to Honda simplicity and that's a pretty radical departure.

Hopefully my 7th gen will carry me through to the 9th gen.

Of course, if they drop a diesel in the 8th gen Accord, I'll forget all about the interior...

Colleghillshonda.com is already listing the accessories on their site. I see rear view camera and back up sensors
