Hey guys I noticed the screws holding the license plate on the car is rusted probably from the winter snow and salt. Any solutions to make them bright silver again or gold I forget which color they are. TIA!

it's cheaper to just get new bolts then to fix it.

Every set of LP screws has become rusted at some point... unless you get SST bolts. Haven't quite found of set of torx screws in SST form.

You could do stainless steel allen drive bolts for a different , easy, look. Maybe spline drive.......hmmmmm

Check it out

The button head looks promising, and they even have a chrome allen head

How about Titanium or aircraft aluminum available in colors?

Make sure that whatever you use, use anti-seize lubricant for the big day when you trade it in for another car and need to take the plates off.

Here's what I use that I normally get at a local Murrays or AutoZone. I believe they actually cost less than the prices listed on their web page.

The import stainless steel screws do add a little security in the sense a special hex wrench is needed to remove them. It's still a good idea to put a little anti-seize on them when installing.

I think the license plate screw covers (on page 2) make for a clean look. They are plated plastic and eventually go bad, but usually last for a couple of years and can be easily replaced.
