Hi.. I am going to replace both Air and Cabin filter on both my 06 Accord and 06 Civic and was wondering which brand to use. I have normally used OEM mail order but seems to be some attractive prices out there on Purolator One brand.. Any thoughts about this.. I know Honda doesnt make there own I assume thats "jobbed" out to a major maker. Oh and Auto Zone i think has 25% off Air filters not sure if cabin filters are included.. Now that I know how to change them thanks to both the Accord and Civic forums I want to go ahead and do it right this time after cracking the air box cover on my old 03 Accord which I traded in.

Thanks for your thoughts

I think Benji mentioned that OEM is your best choice.

I love pure one filters. They look so well constructed. I'd go with them.

I've used the Purolator Pure One oil filters in all my cars with great success in the past. The oil tends to stay "cleaner" for a longer period of time as compared to a regular Purolator filter. This leads me to believe that the synthetic filtering media does a better job at filtering than the regular media.

I like Pure One *oil* filters too...that's what I use. But for air filters, Terry Dyson over on BITOG had seen some pretty good results with plain old Fram...that's right: Fram! Now Fram oil filters are not highly-regarded over on BITOG, but the Air Filters seem to do very well from what Terry said, and I trust him over just about anyone.

As for the CAF, just get whatever you can find that *fits* (i.e. made for the Honda) and is cheapest. I just bought the Honda CAF because I was already at the dealer when I thought of it, and I didn't feel like looking elsewhere at the time. But I know I saw it at AZ for around $15 I think.
