What's up to all in Chi Town and the surrounding burbs? It looks like there is alot of love for the 2008 Honda Accord. Im definitely down to meet up with everyone, but I think late spring / early summer would be best. It is definitely too cold and I'm pretty sure our cars don't look too impressive at the moment. how far is gurnee for you? i got my car there and they seemed pretty nice...so far i have only done one oil change, but went to midas for that. so havent really had much for services. have you looked into crystal lake?

I live around Shaumburg area...so Gurnee is like 40miles away, a bit too far for me.

what didn't u like about schaumburg honda? i was thinking of going there for major services...

well...I didn't get any services done at Schaumburg but I went there a few times to discuss TSX key conversion(cut and program), rattle issues, sticky door handle, etc.

1. TSX key conversion - They swore that it wouldn't work(one of the service reps actually laughed at me) and tried to charge me $90 to program the key. They also wanted me to leave the car for a whole day, so I did it myself and saved money.
2. Rattle issues(here and there) - They said every car has them and it's normal.
3. Sticky door handle - They think it's normal too and refused to look at the TSB.

Those are my issues with them. I may have caught the bad service reps at the time, but I just didn't like their attitude.

What major services you need for your car?

Schaumburg - Service facility looks like they are in the 70's -
delt once with the female service writer and she was pleasant.

Elgin - Service tech's are friendly except for the young one. you can get an oil change coupon on their web site for under 21.00 dolars from time to time. They go out of their way to accomodate.

St. Charles - Modern facility, service writers are worse than the salesman. Attitude's. Parts Dept look at you funny when you want to buy parts and your not in a Honda Tech shirt.

Aurora - Forget it.....Been their a few times - ASS's - They have the Honda award on the website and think they are the Honda dealers of dealers.

Oak Lawn - Went in to fill a tire that looked low and asked the service writer to fill it....told me that we would need to put it up and look at the tire to make sure.....inspected all four and found a nail in the original tire and patched it. Service writer came to tell me the care was done and asked how much and said to me, "Have a good day, no charge".

Elmhurst - Service writers are pleasant, good when you need to match a Honda Coupon such as oil change.

Sycamore - Went and had a OEM Remote starter.....cheapest around...seems they charge half the install labor rate. Check out their web site to see what I mean.

Mr kustom. I had my tints done by them. Great service. They do hid's and fogs. Expensive but worth it.

Should we start planning on meet up? I know it's still cold and unpredictable, but I'm hoping sometime in March for a make up that we missed last Dec.
