i think any stuff that stops leaks would clog internal oil passageways, just a though.:dunno:
just replace the seal, it is not all that hard.

I used that stuff several times on my previous car, an 89 crx with over 400k miles on it, and it seemed to help slow down the oil consumption. I was burning about 1/2 quart every 1000 miles and I remember that stuff helped to slow it down quite a bit. I always made sure the engine was at normal temp before putting that stuff in because it is so thick althogh I don't know if that is actually in the directions. I say give it a try. It never clogged my system and people always told me it would.
On the other hand, if you are talking about a leaking valve cover gasket, ythen just replace the gasket. Its just a few bolts you need to take off. Just be really careful not to drop anything in there when the covers off.

Where is the oil going? I know there were some good products to help seal piston bores at one time, but none to sure about other oil sealing applications. :dunno:

You can try Auto-RX. It works very well. Lots of history with it & approval by Terry Dyson.

Josie? it would probably be much better to just replace the camshaft oil seal. :)

It depends on why the seal is leaking. If it's b/c it's torn, then nothing but a new seal will fix it. A gasket would just need replacing as mentioned above. ARX has some good chemistry behind it. It's another one of those Bobistheoilguy products.

thx everyone. took it back to the dealership.........it looks like they forgot to take the old gasket off from the old filter, when they did the oil change.:thumbsdow. however, they washed the engine, and the next 2 oil changes for free.

Not to say that the OP is effected by my statement below, just wanted to mention...
Not everyone can afford a car repair when they need it. Some people have to find a way to band-aid the issue until they can. I've been there.
Another reason to be thankful for financial stability.

alot of people also claim this is the case and alot of them still go out for fast food every day, or starbucks, or buy expensive cloths regularly, get manicures, etc. but can't afford to fix their car? I know alot of people that CHOOSE things other than fixing their car yet claim they just can't afford it.....
