View Full Version : Latest photos of my coupe
Nimoxp 07-07-2007, 09:49 PM I havent made a thread ever since I added the front lip, mud guards, and lights. Heres some more recent photos. I did not get the rear lip cause of the one exhaust issue and i think it makes the rear a little to fat. Im still trying to decide on to get a spoiler or not. I think it looks smooth without it, but maybe would be more sporty with it. What do you think?? Please comment.

Foreign_Wide 07-08-2007, 02:32 AM Nice Car!
Your best pictures were when you kept the sun to your back
2006AS 07-08-2007, 03:22 AM Looks good. Personally I would add the rear spoiler. To me it "completes" the look.
Terps_Fan 07-08-2007, 11:01 AM You could always go with the decklid spoiler. It's subtle yet sporty and sleek.
Foreign_Wide 07-08-2007, 01:13 PM I know this varies by location, so nobody is wrong, but here, most Hyundais have spoilers too. I think we are spoilered out.
I like the ass on my 2007 Accord just as it is.
Nimoxp 07-08-2007, 03:59 PM Yeah the whole spoiler thing is driving me nuts. Unlike the 03-05 models, the Rear of the 06-07 looks awesome with out a spoiler IMO, but the new spoilers have a real cool design as well, but take away from the smoothness a little. Do they have deck spoilers for my coupe?
Anyway. more thoughts on spoiler or no spoiler please. Heres some shots I took today.
By the way, these are all camera phone photos, sorry for quality.

Nimoxp 07-08-2007, 08:26 PM Looks GREAT nice pics!
Thanks Buddy.
Come on guys. I think I'M going to go based on whatever most of you people think. Spoiler or no spoiler?
maddog0z 07-09-2007, 01:41 AM Nice lookin car. I like the rear spoiler of the 06-07, but I agree w/ what you said, the new spoiler design takes a little away from the smoothness. I added it (03-05 oem) because I felt like it completed the look for my car. But either way, the arse end of ur car looks good w/ or w/o. But bottom line i guess; if it was my car, my vote goes to the spoiler. Maybe even the rear under spoiler too. But all in all your car looks great.

Thanks. Yeah, tough choice huh? I didnt get the under spoiler cause it has 2 exhaust holes, which would leave a gap. Not only that but I think it makes the rear a bit too fat. I also like the look of the lower front and tiny bit higher end, though it's pretty much even.
Accord2004 07-11-2007, 08:15 AM Thats a really nice coupe. Is that a EX V6 style?
My friend told me the new coupes use medium gasoline. Does that do anything for performance?
anysia 07-11-2007, 08:33 AM ah, the great debate. spoiler or no spoiler...
i didn't like how the spoiler messed with the sleek lines of the coupes 03-05 style. but the rearranged tail end of the 06-07 coupe kinda killed it anyway in my opinion....
however, i had an 04 black coupe, stevel had an 04 blue coupe. his spoiler grew on me eventually. at one point i began to consider it for mine even. but i always ended up going back to the sleekness of the car without it. (however the lip spoiler killed the entire look completely in my opinion. stevel had the other one.)
it's a pretty personal decision really.

Yeah the rear spoiler for the 03-05 coupes were pretty much a necessity. They fixed the rear nicely for the the upgrade in 06. Gives it a more g35 look to it, so it's not as awkward looking.I feel the front lip helps the otherwise bland look of the front of the accords. Right now I think I'll stick to no spoiler, but perhaps in a few years when I want something different I'll add one.

No its the EX I4 model. You can see my mods in my signature below.
Accord! =] 09-07-2007, 07:35 PM Yeah, i would get the spoiler. Good thing you didn't get that rear underbody spoiler, it looks fat. i want a spoiler. =]
Nimoxp 09-12-2007, 08:25 PM Final decession. No Spoiler. I just think it looks too nice and smooth with out it.
chanke4252 09-12-2007, 10:40 PM I got a wing spoiler, only now I am wishing that I didn't. In order to remove it I would have to get the other trunk springs that I used to have and ahve a body shop fill the holes and paint my trunk. I might end up doing that after I sound deaden my trunk lid (I like the thunk sound) and the weight of the deadener makes up for the absence of the spoiler.
Mainly I think that the sportiness of my car is a little overstated with the wing. I really wish they made a lip spoiler for the 06-07 coupes. It's not a sports-car, and it's not the quickest car on the road (though it is pretty quick), so I just feel that the look would match the performance better with my spoiler deleted. Spending more money to go backwards, heh. I'll probably end up plugging the holes w/ some low profile rubber stops just to try it out for a week or two when I actually get around to putting in the deadener before I actually take it to a body shop to be done. Though I suppose I could just do it myself assuming I can find a paint that matches.
I think you should get the rear underspoiler though, and the body side moldings really complete the look and connect the lines of the front and rear spoiler somewhat. I think that both lips would look great w/o a spoiler though.

Me too!
I wish Honda made a nice M3 style lip spoiler. M3 spoilers are very subtle.
It's not a "sports car", but it's a "sporty car" and it's fast enough for me.

Nah. It looks really awesome with just the front lip. I dont think the photos do it justice. The front lower profile and the way it shapes up to the rear I love. The rear lip makes it a little to thick for my taste. As well with the rear lip you cant have the rear mud guards which look incredible.
The side moldings...Maybe sometime, not sure yet.
Another reason I didnt want the rear lip is they only come with 2 exhaust holes cut in the rear...leaving a big gap for my 4 cyl. But I really love the way it is now with it a bit lower in the front getting a bit higher going towards the back.

Accordio 09-14-2007, 03:15 PM Nice pics..You're getting there.lol
Accordlover 09-14-2007, 03:29 PM Your cars nice. But I like that TC parked yander.
07EXL5COUPE 09-14-2007, 03:33 PM keep it clean. Don't add a spoiler! It's a Sports Coupe not a race car. Front facia looks good though. Any thoughts on rims???

Thanks...I guess.:) Yeah that girl who owns that TC has some nice rims on it to. To me the TC is a bit of a chick car. I love mine in the looks comparison between the two models, but I suppose maybe it's me being biased.

Yeah..in time perhaps. If I do, I have been eyeing the gray HFP rims. The thing about getting rims though...it seems that adding rims pretty much requires you to get your car lowered because of the huge gap, so that will just come out to alot of money i'm not sure i'm willing to spend on just looks, while I'd rather spend it on performance.(engine peformance that is).
