Thanks for looking.:D
edwilson13185 07-14-2007, 09:35 PM Very sharp ride! I really like the '06-07 coupes better than mine-particularly in the rear styling. It'll look great with the tint.
Enjoy!
honda761 07-14-2007, 09:46 PM Very nice, that interior color combo look great. I really like that silver trim in the interior. Makes me wants another Accord, an auto for when I'm too lazy to shift!
I tell ya, the dash is a work of art. A classic.
Foreign_Wide 07-14-2007, 11:08 PM Great Pics! Nice car!
namegoeshere 07-15-2007, 12:33 AM You got the car on 7/9 and you already have the USA SPEC installed, Acura TL key fob swapped, and fogs and interior trim installed.

Lolz, thanks. I actually had started buying parts for the car on eBay from Honda Dealerships months before I even had the car itself. All I had to do was set some time aside to get them installed and this week was perfect. I'm glad 90% of what I wanted on the car is done. It's a short list of additions, but the car is pretty much loaded from the start. You gotta love Honda cars.
Nice car. Do you plan to get the oem front lip and rear under spoiler lip?
No, I won't be getting the oem lips because I think the 06-07 accord coupe looks weird with them on and with no wing on the trunk. I'm also not the biggest fan of wings either.
I'll be keeping the car clean.
The next update to the car is when I get the window tints done on July 30th. Come back to see the finished product.
jli18 07-15-2007, 12:47 PM hi buddy, how hard is the oem interior trim to install?? how much and where did you get it
KunalPatel87 07-15-2007, 01:11 PM hi buddy, how hard is the oem interior trim to install?? how much and where did you get it
It's very easy to do.
You basically clean the areas where the pieces attach to with isopropyl alcohol and simply peel and stick the pieces on the dash. It probably took me 15-20mins because I was being super careful making sure everything aligned right down to the smallest mm.
I got it from College Hill Honda (no longer on eBay). Check them out at: http://www.collegehillshonda.com/parts/
It was about $199 shipped and came with about 10 pieces. The price is steep, but it is well worth it and is MUCH better than the after market trim kits they have for the Accord. It matches the existing trim perfectly. It really sets the accord interior off.
It's free shipping at http://www.hondacuraworld.com/ on that item so check that out before the other site to save some $$.
I would recommend it to anyone.
jli18 07-16-2007, 02:53 PM hi there, i just want to replace the stock metal pieces with wood (doors and center only). so can i buy them individually??? and i also realized the doors in the coupe is slightly different from the sedans.

:dunno: I'm not sure if you can do that...yes the coupe and sedan pieces are different.

Yes. The door and center trim pieces can be bought separately. Check College Hll or H and A for them. The center trim kit runs about $65 and the door trim kit runs about $85.00
jli18 07-16-2007, 06:20 PM cool, but damn thats like 30 bucks less than a full kit. i might as well get a full kit lol... thanks for the info guys. do you think the birdeye darkwood would look great on black interior?? i have blk/blk
Jake07V6 07-16-2007, 06:47 PM Very very sharp looking car:thmsup:....I wish i had the coupe as well.
WolfpackBill 07-17-2007, 05:21 AM Very very nice!! I might have to look into getting those metal trims.

Terps_Fan 07-19-2007, 01:56 PM OEM Cargo net and cargo tray installed (living happily together).

KunalPatel87 07-20-2007, 06:19 PM Did you have to cut holes in the cargo tray in order to connect the net to the anchors on the floor? Car looks great by the way!
Thanks man.
Yup, I drilled 3/4" holes through the cargo tray right above the 4 anchors on the floor and looped the nets through them and around the anchors.
They really work together!

Terps_Fan 07-20-2007, 06:36 PM How easy is it to access the spare tire well if need be? I've thought about doing this too, and I guess it does work.
KunalPatel87 07-20-2007, 09:05 PM How easy is it to access the spare tire well if need be? I've thought about doing this too, and I guess it does work.
You'll have full access to the spare tire, if needed. The nets come off the anchors as easy as they go on (through the cargo tray holes).
Absolutely NOTHING to worry about in emergency.
You'll even be able to lift the cargo tray up with the net(s) attached.

I think it's worth it.
I've gotten sooo many comments about it, I love it. Everyone is amazed to find out that it for a Honda.
I prefer this key design compared to the stub key that came with the car. It's more modern.
My new keychain.

KunalPatel87 07-23-2007, 07:10 PM I got a few things added to my car today...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00306.jpg
IMO, ALL V6 Accords (no matter AT or MT) should came with the red "V6" emblem from the factory, it's only fitting.
Martin Honda did the swap for me for free! Thanks guys.
Tints going on Wednesday! (all the side windows, the rear window with a vinyl strip over the dot matrix & a sun strip up to the AS-1 on the front windshield).
I can't wait to finish up the cosmetic touches I wanted on my Accord.
Possible future performance mods: 6-Speed MT tower strut bar.:D
Does anyone know if this mod will void my factory warranty?
Accordlover 07-23-2007, 07:21 PM It only voids the warranty on the parts it effects. Aka other suspension components that it effects.
Terps_Fan 07-23-2007, 07:48 PM I got a few things done to my car today...
2006-2008 Acura TSX OEM wiper blades:
I haven't heard of that mod before. How much did you pay for the mod and how do the new wipers work? What was wrong with your brand new wipers??
KunalPatel87 07-23-2007, 08:13 PM I haven't heard of that mod before. How much did you pay for the mod and how do the new wipers work? What was wrong with your brand new wipers??
Not really a mod...just a swap.
Nothing was wrong with my stock OEM wipers. They just weren't flat and modern like the wipers of the Acura TSX and many other Honda/Acura cars.
Some advantages to have them include:
-Apparently a "longer life" span
-Better swipe because of the uniformed pressure applied across the windshield
-More aerodynamic compared to the traditional style stock blades
-They are genuine Honda parts and not aftermarkets like Valeo and Bosch
-THEY LOOK GREAT!
I bought them at Piazza Acura of West Chester, PA and had to pay sales tax so the total came out to be $42.28 (about the same price if you were going to buy ICONs). It was $20.45 for the driver's side wiper blade and $19.43 for the passenger's side wiper blade ($39.88 w/o sales tax).
BTW, the rubber inserts in the blades can be replace for about $7 a side so it's a great swap to do.
In the future I'll probably buy 2007 CR-V flat wiper blades because they use a 26" driver side and a 17" passenger side...I didn't know new CR-Vs came with them. They TSX uses a 16" passenger side but the same size driver side.
KunalPatel87 07-25-2007, 01:59 PM Got my windows tinted today at Professional Window Tinting Inc. in Elkton, MD.
They are VERY PROFESSIONAL and HIGHLY experienced. They've been in the tinting business for 15 years now doing everything from autos to hospitals. They had over 15 different types of films to choose from and I ended up choosing a metalized tint by Diamond Automotive Window Films called "Radiant" in the 5% shade.
The owner and his son tinted my windows personally in about 2 hours and half. They told me straight up, tinting is not a race and it may take up to three hours and I agreed to this and waited patiently.
Here's some pictures below:

I'm very happy with the way the tint looks on my car. It doesn't look painted on like other limo tints do.
They want to see the car again in about 4 weeks to follow up on the job and make sure the tint is holding up right.
You all like it?
I'm not going to get the 6-speed M/T strut bar for my car after all. I want to keep the warranty valid just in case something happens in the future (hopefully nothing happens).
The next and LAST addition: A black Grillcraft Mx series lower grille to protect my radiator and also to cover up the area so I don't see it as much.
Thanks for looking!

ItsaHonda 07-25-2007, 02:39 PM Very nice and dark!

Thanks man. Yea I won't be moving to MD anytime soon...lol.
Very nice and dark!

I just went out for a drive. It's the same story with my 20% tints on my 2002 Accord sedan and my new tints on my new Accord. It's easy to see when there are headlights or street lights around you, but when you turn into darker back-roads, it's a little difficult to see.
It's well worth it in the daytime though...I don't do much night driving.
KunalPatel87 07-26-2007, 07:14 PM What do you guys think, should I have the sun-strip removed or keep it on?
Since it is fresh, Professional Tinting said they can take it off in 15mins for $15.
I don't know though, I need feedback about it...
KunalPatel87 07-27-2007, 04:46 AM Well I'll be getting the sun strip from my windshield removed altogether...no big loss.
The tinter is taking it off for $15 tomorrow in the late morning.
When my EZPASS transponder comes in, I'll be able to put it in that area without me worrying about any tint problems.
ESHBG 07-27-2007, 08:38 PM KunalPatel87, your coupe is VERY nice! The gray leather interior is such an interesting combo w/ the silver exterior...I like it! In many cases when exterior/interior colors are close to the same, it can look kind of boring IMO. But these colors seem to compliment each other very well!
*Not to mention I don't really care for the dark purple-ish (or whatever color you want to call it) carpet found in the black interior and I like the carpet in this interior so much better.
Do you happen to have any night lighting interior shots? I've always had mixed feelings about the reddish interior lighting color found on the coupe but I always wonder if it is one of those things that would eventually grow on me...

good choice.
anysia 07-28-2007, 08:02 AM i haven't found the reason for the tsx wiper blade style yet... they look "clunky" to me. (i have them on my tsx.) haven't gained or lost any function or time or anything that i've noticed yet by having that style over the traditional style.
what is "funny" is when you lift them off the windsheild and they kind of just "flop". :lmao:
KunalPatel87 07-28-2007, 11:02 AM I had a little tint setup change after ironically seeing another fresh tint job on a pre-MMC Accord Coupe at the tint shop.
It was tinted 5% on the rear window and rear quarter windows and 20% on the front sides. It looked REAL good. It blended in very nicely because of the metalized polyester in the film. The owner, who tinted my windows on Tuesday, said he could do it for me on the spot for $84.00 (including the $15 removal of the sun-strip) and in 1.5 hours time. I was like what the heck...GO FOR IT! I was only going to lose the slightest darkness and gain a lot of visibility. I wish I had seen this setup before I had the job done the first time.
It's a 93 degree, sunny day so you tell me how the "mixed shade" tinting job looks.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention, in Delaware we are allowed to tint the rear windshield and rear side windows ANY shade we want. The front side windows can be tinted up to a max of 70% (I don't think you can even find that unless it's from the factory direct!). ANY shade of tint is allowed up to the AS-1 line and cannot pass it. Delaware police usually leave you alone if you have 20% in the fronts and as long as they can see silhouettes of who's inside of the car.
[I]
Next step: Grillcraft Mx lower (1 pc.) grill coming up in a few weeks then THATZZZ IT!
Thanks for looking and for all the feedback and suggestions on my car thus far!

Haha. It does that on my car too.
I wanted the modern look and style, to tell you the truth. :dunno: The old style wipers just BOTHERED me...
Nimoxp 07-28-2007, 11:50 AM Suggestion would be a drop of course to reduce that horrific front wheel gap Honda has decided to punish us all with.:D Mud flaps are always nice. did you see a sun damaged blakc interior or something?? we've had quite a few of the black interiors and have never had dark purple-ish carpet..... :dunno: it's a charcoal color, not quite solid black, but definitely not purple-ish at all....
the reddish interior lighting isn't really all the red in the coupes. it's more amber/orangish. i wasn't too huge of a fan of it either when i bought my coupe. but it was nowhere near as obnoxious as i had imagined. it's bright enough to see it, but dim enough that you aren't blinded by it. in some respects the way it looks at night illuminated is a little better than the white in the sedans. i think it helps that nothing is backlit (thinking of how pontiac sunfires have the radio display with orangeish backlighting, then black letters which was annoying).

I like the lighting, it's not bad at all. Very easy on the eyes when you drive at night.

I'm pretty much done with it after the black Grillcraft grille. I know I didn't do anything different, special or unique, but I think it looks great and very "grown-up" right now. It's a wonderful car from the beginning and it came loaded with 80% of everything I wanted. VERY minor tweaking was needed to be done after I got it.
The OEM lips look great on darker Accords like yours though. Very nice car btw.
I'm planning on getting the OEM full mask and OEM splash guards in the winter and using them seasonally only.
Anyway, college is starting up soon and I got to start saving money for school expenses and stuff...

Yeah I have driven a few, and agree with the more amber/orange-ish hue assessment. For me I didn't hate it or anything, but it was a little tricky on my eyes. But like you said it wasn't too bright...
Thanks, KunalPatel87! I'm looking forward to the video. :)

those pics aren't accurate at all of how the black carpet looks in reality. i went outside and checked out both our accord and tsx (both black interiors) neither have the tiniest bit of purple-ish hint to them. the carpet is a lighter charcoal than the rest of the interior, but definitely not purple.
alot of black turns a purpley color when it's been in the sun for years or possibly when cleaned with an inappropriate product. given those are both used vehicles, i'm guessing someone cleaned them with something that effectively bleached the carpet. or else someone took some really bad pics! :dunno::paranoid:

But I've seen a few in person and had the same opinion, though. But you are right on about the TSX. My g/f just bought an '07 w/ black interior and the carpet doesn't look purple-ish at all.
alot of black turns a purpley color when it's been in the sun for years or possibly when cleaned with an inappropriate product. given those are both used vehicles, i'm guessing someone cleaned them with something that effectively bleached the carpet. or else someone took some really bad pics! :dunno::paranoid:
Like I said earlier, I have seen quite a few in person (most very well taken care of too) and I picked up on the purple-ish tint. Not as bad as these photos, though, and the second group I showed you does look overly bad. Oh well, this could be another case of what I call the "Honda Syndrome", where one car looks one way and the same exact model, year, color, etc., looks different with no real rhyme or reason to it. :dunno:
No problem at all, KunalPatel87! I am just happy you took the time to do this and can't wait to see it. :)
Terps_Fan 07-28-2007, 06:59 PM I have always found the carpet to have an odd tint to it, and "purple-ish" was the best way I can describe it. Here are some pics to show you what I mean:

Yeah I have driven a few, and agree with the more amber/orange-ish hue assessment. For me I didn't hate it or anything, but it was a little tricky on my eyes. But like you said it wasn't too bright...
Thanks, KunalPatel87! I'm looking forward to the video. :)
I have an '03 Sedan with a completely black interior and I don't have this purple tint to my carpets either. They still have a nice black color after 4 years.
KunalPatel87 07-29-2007, 01:06 PM My car is finally FULLY broken in now...
600 miles.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00368.jpg
Man those first 600 miles were really nerve raking haha. I kept it under 3,000 rpm and didn't go past 50mi/h.
It's been a very nice ride thus far and I love it!
I really got to slow down driving it so much!
Are there any other precautions I should take from this point on? Should I still carry the "break-in period" driving style up to 1,000 miles to be safe?

It's kinda strange how my Sony Cybershot kept losing focus like it did in the clip...I guess you still get a good idea of how it looks at night though. I lost some video quality when the clip got uploaded/encoded for sharing...sorry about that.
ESHBG 07-29-2007, 08:27 PM Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video, it looks great! :) I've driven a coupe at night but it was only for a very brief period, and I didn't really have time to let the red lighting totally "sink in" while driving. I would like to try to do so again in the near future, though, and this time really pay attention and see what I think about it all! :)
KunalPatel87 08-02-2007, 07:26 PM My second E-ZPass transponder came in the other day and I got it mounted in a really nice place...

ESHBG 08-03-2007, 01:48 PM Looking good! I'm guessing you tried it already and had no issues w/ it being within the tint? I put my g/f's in her TSX and mounted it just below the tint line and to the right of the mirror on the passenger's side. It fit perfectly and can't be seen from the driver's side at all.

Yup...my first E-ZPass transponder is mounted within the tint on my 02 Accord and I haven't gotten any problems for that.
It's a great place to have it because the only way someone can see it is if they have polarized sunglasses on.
Thanks again!

KunalPatel87 08-05-2007, 08:43 AM Just ordered: Grillcraft MX-Series black lower grille.
Bought it from NOPIonline.com for $115.67 shipped. I saved $10 by using a coupon code .
I'll have some pictures posted when I get it installed...
ESHBG 08-05-2007, 08:58 AM Damn, you are hookin' that baby up! ;)
Kunal, I REALLY like your pics! If it's not too much trouble, could you snap some pics looking straight out from the driver's seat, behind you, to the sides...? I'd like to see all of the angles when sitting in the driver's seat, but I am also curious to see what the tint shade you got on your windows looks like when looking out.
But again, only if it's not too much trouble and you feel like doing it. :)
goten611 08-05-2007, 09:51 AM hey kunal, car looks awesome with the tints. i was wondering if the USAspec audio mod was installed yourself or by dealer. i have the 07 i4 EX coupe model and was wondering where the pin connector is on the radio when you remove the cubby. i plan on installing a similar mod in my car as well and want to avoid any aggravation of not being able to find it. can't wait to see how ur car looks with the new grill. no jdm red honda emblem? lol

It's very easy to install...I won't pay a audio store to do this because it's like giving them free money. I used the link below from this forum to install the kit. Check it out...

NO red "H" logo will ever be on this car! LOLz.
I might do a debadge of the "Accord" and "V6" emblem in the rear, but I haven't seen anyone with a silver refreshed 7gen Accord Coupe with that done so I'm not sure how it will look.
KunalPatel87 08-05-2007, 01:37 PM Hey ESHBG, I just PMed you the picture.
ESHBG 08-05-2007, 01:49 PM I just got it and responded, thanks, man! :)
KunalPatel87 08-11-2007, 02:32 PM My GrillCraft Mx-series lower grille came in Friday!! It looks like it was shipped from GrillCraft straight...might have been a manufactures special order for NOPI.
It took me a while, but I got it installed today. I took the little GrillCraft logo off of it before I installed it.
The grille itself is built with high quality and has a beautiful glossy black powder finish.
The front-end of my car looks SO much better now because you can't see that very noticeable radiator.
Here's some pictures of my new grill.

KunalPatel87 08-18-2007, 04:51 PM My "Accord" engraved aluminum racing pedals came in Friday and the moment I opened the box, I was BLOWN AWAY by there HIGH quality. IMO, the set is definitely worth MORE than the $55 I paid.
It took about an hour to get them installed. I left the stock foot rest and accelerator pedal on and drilled the aluminum ones right on top of them. For the brake pedal, I removed the stock rubber pedal covering before installing the aluminum brake pedal.
I love the grip of my new racing pedals. They really make driving my Accord Coupe even more enjoyable.

KunalPatel87 08-31-2007, 06:48 PM Small update, I guess...
I put a very thin size and very nice looking Temple University strip decal on my rear windshield a few days ago. I bought it at the school bookstore with my textbooks. I'll post some pictures of it Sunday (after I wash my dirrrty car).
It's almost alien where I live to have another school's name on your car other than "DELAWARE" for the University of Delaware. I love the amazed looks I get for having it (and my new custom tag) on my hott car.
Oh yea....almost forgot...GO OWLS!! MISSION POSSIBLE in '08.

KunalPatel87 09-03-2007, 06:49 AM I'm happy to say, I ordered my first performance parts for my car!
I ordered the following (09/03/2007):
OEM V6 6-speed front tower bar ($102.41, shipped @ HondaPartsDeals.com)
Neuspeed black upper tie-bar ($129.95, shipped @ Neuspeed.com)
I know after I install both of these strut bars I should see a great improvement of my cars handling and traction.
I'll post some engine bay pictures when I install the strut bars.
Aviography 09-03-2007, 07:04 AM I know after I install both of these strut bars I should see a great improvement of my cars handling and traction.
There will be some minor improvements, but only when the car is driven hard through the corners, and if you are going to drive the car that hard and especially on public roads, then perhaps, and please don't take this personally, a high performance driving course, or Solo 2 races to improve your driving skills should be your first investment towards the performance improvement of the car.
It's never wise to think that adding a couple of performance parts to your car will magically transform the owner into Mario Andretti or Michael Schuemacher, we all like to think we are better driver than the next guy if our cars were better/faster, but the fact of the matter is that most of us are OK drivers at best, and it is really dangerous to falsely think that we can be better with some minor performance parts added to our cars.

No offense taken at all and I agree 100%. I know my driving limits and I never overstate or challenge them. Frankly, I don't have the courage to drive like some crazy people do and I don't want to face the horrible consequences if/when something happens.
I'm all about minor tweaks and changes on my car anyway. I guess using "great" wasn't the best word to use.
Funny you mentioned the driving skills class. AAA has some at Dover International Raceway where you can get better acquainted with your driving skills and your car. I'm going one Saturday but I will have to wait till next summer since school started up again. It's worth it from what I hear plus you get a discount on your insurance policy. :)
freesole 09-03-2007, 08:45 AM Hmm.. nice upgrades but I heard the upper tie bar is basically an aesthetic upgrade more than anything. You'd have to drive really hard to notice a big improvement. You would have been much better off with replacing your OEM rear and front sway bars. Now those would be noticeable even with daily driving.
KunalPatel87 09-03-2007, 09:39 AM Man, I guess the strut bars are not a wise upgrade then.
As of now, I have cancel the two orders for the strut bars.
Thanks for the advise everyone! You guys saved me from basically wasting my money.

imo anything related to improving rigidity is worth it as long as it isn't like 300 bucks. They obviously aren't the most bang-for-your-buck upgrade, but if you can afford it then I'd do it. But that's just me. That's why I'm going to add an LSD. Of course you don't NEED anything like this or that, but it's nice knowing it's there if you do.

That's exactly what I had in mind when I ordered both yesterday. It's nice to know they are there if, i guess, ever needed...
I guess I still will get them one day if someone is selling theirs cheap.
Will a strut bar help in an emergency situation like swerving to avoid a crash?

I think it's be more of a cumulative/supplemental sort of thing, so to answer your question ... maybe. It might help, it might not, but less flex is generally better for stable and predictable handling. So maybe that slightly improved predictability at the limit will help you avoid a crash in an emergency situation.

hmmm...I'll have to research strut bars and sway bars more. It's definitely things I'm interested to have on my car.

KunalPatel87 09-04-2007, 02:35 PM Just ordered!
OEM automatic day/night mirror with compass.
I'll post some pictures up when I install it later this week or next week.
KunalPatel87 09-07-2007, 03:32 PM I got some free time this afternoon so I installed my OEM automatic day/night mirror w/ compass. It only took 30 minutes. Very easy to do.
The mirror is a very nice accessory. It compliments the Accord's interior well. I have noticed an increase in vibration compared to the standard mirror but it's only when my stereo is cranked up. It's not annoying to me (as long as it doesn't rattle). I recommend getting it if you have some extra cash. Oh yea, btw, don't ask me about the auto-dimming feature of the mirror...my three rear windows are tinted to 5% VLT. The compass and the thing that covers up the connector cable is reallllly cool though! :lmao:

chanke4252 09-10-2007, 09:06 PM How's the autodim mirror treating you? I wouldn't mind having one of those to deal w/ the random glare. Have you had any issues w/ rattling? Did you actually have to remove the mirror base from the windshield or is there some other way that it attaches? My complaint about the mirrors in the 7th gen is that they didn't attach them in the way that the 5th gens were attached. The 5th gens didnt mount on the glass, but rather the stem went towards the glass and then kind of swooped back and attached to under side of the roof of the car.

It's a great addition. It doesn't rattle at all. You will notice a slight increase in vibration compared to the stock mirror but it's not too crazy and you'll stop noticing it after a few days. Absolutely no noise is produced from the vibration increase.
You install the auto-dimming mirror onto the existing mirror mount on the windshield. The base of the mirror "floats" on the upper-center of the windshield (as you probably know). You re-use it for the install. After removing the standard mirror, you swap the standard spring/clip in the base with the stronger one that is supplied with the attachment kit. I'm guessing some people are forgetting to do and is why they are experiencing rattles after installing the auto-dimming mirror.
GET IT!! :D
KunalPatel87 09-11-2007, 06:28 PM Well guess what everyone...I just got another mod for my car. :headbash: A NEUSPEED Upper strut tie-bar.
I didn't even want it! They're idiots at NEUSPEED for sending me this. I just called them and asked why they sent it when I canceled the order and they said it was never canceled! WTF, I talked to a live person when I canceled it last week. They're willing to take it back with a retocking fee (even though I didn't open the box yet) plus I have to pay for the return shipping. I'll be keeping it and installing it later. It's not worth returning it.
Oh well...
Yay for my first "suspension" mod!

It's not worth returning it.
yeah yeah yeah...
sing that song to the wife. Maybe she will believe it.

how convenient...

I don't think you understand...:headbash::headbash::headbash: I have to keep a $130 metal tube that won't do my car any good.

Lesson learned, make sure you get a name of the person who took the call the next time you are cancelling a purchase, and ask him/her to e-mail you a confirmation that the order has been cancelled.
Yes I know it's hind-sight 20/20......
mwmcginn 09-12-2007, 08:49 PM Yes I know it's hind-sight 20/20......
Yes, looking back now, its easy to see that hindsight is 20/20
Nimoxp 09-12-2007, 09:24 PM You could try selling it on ebay

Doesn't eBay take commission twice on items you sell? I'll probably ask for at least $125 plus the shipping of the item. They probably have an outrageous commission system they take from that amount.
mwmcginn 09-13-2007, 10:31 AM If you really want the money back, return it, and then dispute the charges on your credit card. If they screwed up, they screwed up.

Oh no, I'm not doing that...Thanks for the suggestion though.
The strut bar will probably hang around my house for a few weeks until I install it. No big rush on it. I'll post pictures when it's installed.
chanke4252 09-13-2007, 06:32 PM Until you install it (see, it isn't just going to sit there unused like you said)....convenient mistake they made. Isn't there a dark little corner of your heart that wanted all this to happen?

No comment...:lmao:
chanke4252 09-13-2007, 08:47 PM I wish my 6spd strut bar was as pretty as that one and some of the other aftermarket ones. God this thread is getting long.
KunalPatel87 09-17-2007, 01:28 PM
Update: NEUSPEED is taking the strut tie-bar back without charging me the restocking fee. It's amazing how much differently you get treated when you talk to a different person. I although have to take the cut for the return shipping but that only cost $7 and I can deal with that. $122.95 back in my pocket...haha. :D
Not trying to challenge anyone or change your mind but the oem bar does help in keeping the wheels planted especially on not so even ground. I personally felt the difference immediately after installing it.
KunalPatel87 10-04-2007, 05:47 PM Update on my coupe since it's been awhile...
I managed to save a nice chunk of cash the past 2 month to get a 3M Scotchgard PPF clear bra. Clear Choice Detailing in Philadelphia, PA will be cutting the pattern and installing it this Saturday, October 6. Check out his work at: www.clearchoicedetailing.com
The total cost will be $675 (includes installation and parts) for FULL lower bumper protection (unlike eBay kits), extended hood & fender protection (4"-5" past the head lights) and both side mirrors. He wanted to charge me $750 but I got him to lower it since he won't be making his usual "house call" for the installation like he does for other clients.
I'll be posting some pictures this weekend so be sure to come back to check them out.
stevencrosbie 10-04-2007, 06:33 PM Congrats on the new clearbra (this weekend).
I love them and have a kit ordered for the Tundra. The entire front end will be done.
Although I hope it is impossible to see, let the pics come! :)

Thanks man. I think it's the best investment for my Accord Coupe (and anyone's new car). I wish I had one installed on my 02 Accord SE sedan. Too late for that now. :thumbsdow
I hope it stays clear forever even past the warranty period (which most people say it willl).
I like your Toyota Tundra btw.

Make sure they cover ALL the surface, well at least where possible.
I had a custom job done as well, it's quite good, but they cheaped out on some horizontal surfaces such as the 90 deg surface immediately above the front part of the bumper as well as where the upper and lower grill openings, in some cases it may not look quite as good to cover these area, but it will protect much better, in some other cases they just took the easy way out.........
Overall it's money well spent.
BTW, I wouldn't bother taking pictures, the whole point of the Clear Bra is that it should be just about invisible, if you can see it easily from a short distance away, then they did a poor job!

That's exactly what I'll be getting for that price tag...FULL protection.
I know the clear bra is suppose to be invisible (except for the hood line at certain angles) but I like to take pictures of my ride to post, Aviography...lol.

I will 08exl! No problem.
If you plan on keeping your car for a long time and want to keep your paint from chipping because of road hazards, definitely consider getting a PPF package. I learned the hard way on my 02 Accord SE sedan. It sucks too. The rest of the car is in great condition except for the nose area. Automotive paint is very weak (water-based now, not lead) in general and it's not just a Honda/Acura problem.

KunalPatel87 10-06-2007, 05:37 PM Okay guys, I just got home from Philly. The job took about 5 and ½ hours total. I waited and the time really flew by watching the installation. It's a very interesting process. At the end, the 3M clear bra came out great! No complaints at all. Special thanks again to Glen at Clear Choice Detailing. If you're in the Delaware, New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania area, defiantly give him a call for your PFF clear bra needs.
It's pretty dark right now so below I posted one phone picture from my T-Mobile Dash from earlier. Next time I wash my car, I'll post some higher quality pictures for all to see (or not see...:naughty:).

KunalPatel87 10-07-2007, 02:20 PM I didn't wash my car today because the weatherman said he was gonna make it rain on my carrrr...haha.
I took all the ugly looking camera phone pictures out of my previous post except for one.
So can you guys spot the line? It was really hard to make it show up on the pictures, but that's a VERY good thing! It is impossible to get the bumper to show anything. :D It's very clear and unnoticeable. The PPF should be all healed by now (it only takes 24 hours). My grade for the 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film: A+

KunalPatel87 10-08-2007, 02:38 PM It's my car's 3rd month birthday today (I didn't even know until Scott Honda called to tell me) so here's a picture I took yesterday (10/07/2007) I guess to celebrate the occasion. It has GROWN so much, now at 2,200 miles! I got my XM Satellite Radio subscription starting Wednesday @ $77 for a year. Enjoy!

I love photography and my car is a great subject. I only need to find better places to take pictures like Accordio. Delaware only has fields, parks and industrial parks.
08exl 10-10-2007, 07:57 AM Looks great! A far cry from the old ugly leather bras. I never understood the point of installing one of those leather bras to protect the paint when it would be covered by the bra so that you couldn't see the paint anyway:dunno: Are there any problems with rocks etc messing up the clear cover? I mean, if a rock hit the car that would have chipped the paint, wouldn't it leave a mark in the clear bra too? How long are these things supposed to last?

I remember those leather car bras from when I was younger. My Uncle had one on this Nissan van and it made the engine overheat.:lmao:
Here's a great article for you to check out about the durablitiy of the 3M PPF: http://www.automotivearticles.com/Clear_Bra_3M.shtml That's a older generation of 3M clear bra in that test study.
As long as you wash and wax it with the rest of your car it should last VERY long. Members from AcuraZine (I know I talk about them a lot, but they have a lot of useful information about Honda cars too!) told me (and showed me) that their older generation of 3M clear bra has lasted 5+ years and it still looks like it did the day it was installed. That's good enough justification for me. $675/5 years (minimum)= $135 per year paint protection investment. Wellllll worth it.
KunalPatel87 10-10-2007, 11:03 AM Here's the cost broken down below:
$675 = $325 worth of film [ENTIRE bumper coverage (unlike those half-price eBay kits, hood & fender coverage 4" past the headlights), the grille and the mirrors] + $350 installation fee [$64/hr (rounded up) x 5.5hrs].
Again, $675/5 years (absolute minimum life of film) = $135 per year paint protection film.
Sounds good to me compared to physical body repair costs.
chanke4252 10-10-2007, 01:45 PM those clearbras are a great investment. I only got my hood and fenders done as the bumper is pretty much going to be taking a beating no matter what you have over it.

Thanks bro. :D It's such a fun car!
I get about 20 mpg right now. I do only city driving too so I'm getting what the sticker says (20 city, 29 highway [I hope]). I haven't done my first oil change so maybe it might get better? :dunno: If it doesn't, oh well, it's a V6 so I'm not expecting mpg numbers like our other Accord (I4).
darkdc5 10-23-2007, 09:17 PM the interior looks wicked comfy! How does that 3 litre move?
KunalPatel87 10-24-2007, 10:50 AM the interior looks wicked comfy! How does that 3 litre move?
Let's just say it scares me sometimes!:jawdrop:
I don't really push it though. When I need the power, it's great it's there. Listening to the engine is a treat. Sometimes it's better than what's on XM. :)
I love the interior design. Hondas/Acuras really do have the best interiors among all the auto makers hands down.
You got a nice RSX there, btw.

Since it's black, it's hardly noticeable unless you have a good stare at the wheels in person. I (luckily) saw it on a refreshed gen 7 V6 sedan and I liked it. It's very subtle, just like most things on my coupe. I know a majority of people on DA probably won't like it, but I still wanted to share anyway. It fits well with my "subtle theme". Some of you will get to see it in person tomorrow at the West Chester meet.
Things to come later this year:
OEM First aid kit [ordered already on eBay]
Parrot EVOLUTION hands-free bluetooth car kit CK3000
Infinity Basslink
Whistler Hardwire kit
WolfpackBill 01-06-2008, 06:16 PM Looks great! I like it! Where did you get them from?
BTW, got the radar hardwired yet?
KunalPatel87 01-06-2008, 07:29 PM Thanks Bill. :)
I got the rim decals from "rsvrrider" on eBay. $4 for 4 decals shipped. He sells them in red, black, blue, silver, gold, white, green & purple. Very subtle touch. Everyone at today's PA/DE/NJ meet really liked them too.
I'm going to hardwire my radar detector when I install a bluetooth kit in my car. This way I don't have to keep taking out my a-pillar. I did pick up a add-a-fuse kit for $6 last month. Thanks for all the info and help thus far Bill. I forgot about adding this to that list above.
Did you get your car back yet?
WolfpackBill 01-07-2008, 05:00 AM Hey! Thanks for the tip! Ill check it out when I have some time. Also, if you have any more questions about the radar, don't hesitate.
I got my car back a little over a week ago. It looks good, but still doesn't match what the factory can do. This bodyshop is pretty awesome at color matching because the did that perfectly. You can't tell the difference at all. They told me Carbon Bronze is one of the harder colors to match so I'm happy with the results. Also, yesterday, I finally had a chance to transfer my retroed HID to the new headlight so I have all hids again instead of one halogen and one hid.

KunalPatel87 01-09-2008, 03:11 PM Very nice taste in mods, and great progression :)
Thank you! That's why I keep adding to this huge thread.
I have to agree with everyone on DA about modding my car. Once I start, I will never stop.
KunalPatel87 01-22-2008, 04:40 PM You can call me a hypocrite for my wipers....
I picked up a pair of Bosch ICON wipers at AutoZone because they were on sale (buy 1, get 1 free [after mail-in rebate]). The pair will cost me $22 after the check is in. I can deal with them sticking up a tad on the passenger side at that price. Hopefully that end will settle on the windshield in the coming days.

They wipe a bit better than the OEMs, but they do bring the updated look I wanted.
I'll also post pictures later this week of all the things I got laying around my room waiting for install. Look out for that here!!
WolfpackBill 01-22-2008, 05:36 PM They are good wipers. Mine lasted over a year. Not bad at all. Now I have Valeo wipers from Tirerack and they aren't as good as the Icons. I'm thinking of going back to OEM ones when my Valeos wear out. OEMs are cheap and are just as good and last much longer than aftermarket stuff. My parents proved that with their '05 Ody. I just replaced all 3 of their wipers (refills) for less than $20 and this was the first time replacing them. So almost 3 years life ain't too bad at all (we picked it up on 2/4/05).

+1...the Honda OEMs are excellent. I think I've changed the wiper inserts on the 2002 Accord sedan only 3 times the past 5.5 years of ownership. It's certain they'll be back on after the ICONs wear out. I put them in the fancy Bosch plastic packaging for safe keeping. I just couldn't resist the "sale price" on the ICONs.
BTW, I still haven't hardwired my radar detector Bill! It's just TOO COLD!
WolfpackBill 01-23-2008, 08:36 AM It is a good deal on those Icons. I should've waited because when I bought the Valeos, the Icons were still at regular price.
Haha...It's totally understandable. My car is way too filthy to be cleaned because it has been so cold. I really need to find a few hours to detail my interior, especially the leather because they're getting hard. If you have any problems installing the radar, please let me know! :)
KunalPatel87 01-27-2008, 03:34 PM Stuff getting installed this Friday (02/01/2008).

We bought it brand new for a bit under $25k in July 07.
Mods....I still haven't totaled up my receipts. :paranoid: I paid below retail (but still all brand new) on all of the mods I have.
Can't wait too see those G35 exhaust tips. Where did you get them from?
Infiniti Parts USA (http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/)
$63 for 2 tips + $9.50 shipping, so about $73 for lasting OEM quality (I hope, it's Nissan made...). They will fit with no problems. I went to a Infiniti dealership and did some measuring to check.
I really like the shape of them. Not big, but more oval. I choose to get them over the 08 Accord tips mainly because they have black insides.

I still get a very reserved look from them. The degree of chrome is the same as the OEM stock tips.
THE DARK KNIGHT 01-28-2008, 07:08 PM ~25K.. nice!
you consider dual dual exhausts? (not sure if it's called this)
the G35 ones look too big for my taste but two small pipes on each side would look sweeeeet
KunalPatel87 01-28-2008, 07:37 PM ^Quad-tips? No, that's overkill and will look ricey. I like the S2000 look and these tips give me exactly that without overdoing it. :)

Updated installation list for tomorrow:
OEM First aid kit
Whistler Hardwire kit
Parrot EVOLUTION hands-free bluetooth kit CK3000
Infinity Basslink (with a cap)
The G35 tips will not be here until next week (Wednesday). They're coming from Scottsdale, AZ (located 20 mins away from Super Bowl mania) by FEDEX. I think it would have been faster if I went and picked them up personally. It always happens to me when I try to save money. Oh well, it's still savings. :)
KunalPatel87 02-01-2008, 03:57 PM Everything was installed as planned.
Thanks everyone ( & Bill  + MJL  + RTexasF ) for all the information and guidance. I still have to program the bluetooth kit. So far, no ones knows I'm taking from it. And oh, the Basslink, WOW! It puts the UMP into the music I wanted. It's turned down alot too.
KunalPatel87 02-02-2008, 02:59 PM Excuse the quality of the pictures. I felt lazy today so I took them in "quick snapshot" mode except for the last two. I'll take better ones later and update these.

KunalPatel87 02-02-2008, 08:27 PM whats that big blue thing do?
Basically a cap stores energy and discharges it when the amp needs it. I know the Basslink is considered "weak" but I think it's better to be safe then sorry (plus it was $35).
THE DARK KNIGHT 02-02-2008, 08:57 PM do u feel like u are putting all ur eggs in one basket?
or will u take the parts off this honda and put it on ur next car
KunalPatel87 02-02-2008, 09:47 PM ^^^^I plan on keeping this car for atleast 7+ years so I added things that have a good chance of lasting that long. No extreme modding for me. It gets complicated and expensive. I keep my cars nice and simple yet with some minor touches that make them unique.
WolfpackBill 02-03-2008, 06:55 AM Good job!! How's the Parrot kit working out for ya? I have a Moto bluetooth headset and that thing is a piece of crap when I'm driving so I've decided to get a kit in a few months. That...and the basslink. I've always wanted one. I was going to get one when I had my Acura but decided it had enough bass so I put it off...and still putting it off because now I have to put my cash toward my mortgage. lol
Also, can you pull the radar up a little more to make it look a little less conspicuous?? I think it looks a little too far below the mirror. But then again, I'm used to mine placed just a tad below the mirror.
peteysaccord 02-03-2008, 07:20 AM damn it man...i wanted to go with u wen u got that basslink installed...i gotta talk to the guys there to see wat they can do for my system...well i sorta picked everything out...i just need to know wat little stuff i'll need so i can just buy it all and bring it to them and try and get a one day install...
how's that basslink SOUND? i mean truthfully will my bones rattle in the driver seat? lol...how much was install bro?

After a weekend of usage, I'm very impressed with this Parrot BT kit. It's very clear (on both ends) and very convenient to have. Most people have no idea I'm on it (until I tell). I absolutely LOVE the auto-connect feature. Also, whenever someone calls, it "says" their name. I DEFINITELY like this more than my Moto hearing aid. Haha. Since I installed it everything cost me $155 ([$125] Parrot kit from CC and $30 Metra harness from Crutchfield). Definitely a must.
 I wish I could pull the radar up more, but it won't be able to "see" the back.

Rattle (sometimes with an s at the end) = a light to medium-light shaking of certain parts of the interior (the dash, rear deck, etc.). Many of the latest Honda and Acura cars have it. Very annoying to have especially when you buy a product at the set price(s).
Pick up the end of a book about ½ inch off a table and drop it. That's basically the sound but it may occur over and over depending on the conditions. Mine usually were tight sounding and occurred in cold temperatures or when driving over bumpy roads. I had them "cured" by the dealership in November (and they might be making a comeback-hopefully not). There are other noises that may occur but I do not want to describe them (so I don't drive myself crazy--I'll fix what I can and deal with the rest).
The Honda engine sounds REAL nice though. The car looks great too! I'm very happy with my car overall.

Sounds like a plan, haha. You can do your parking light/fog light mod on my car. :)
The rsb is so easy to do and costs $41 (17mm) shipped from OEM Acura Parts (http://www.oemacuraparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214055). It really makes a difference. The rear doesn't "drag" behind me anymore and it has made my car feel more "solid". Click here: Trip's rear sway bar DIY. (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/281873/4)
For the parking brake, I just used the leather cover from the TSX parking brake handle. It simply slips over the stock parking brake handle. It isn't the cheapest mod as a result. Basically, you remove the leather covering from the TSX parking brake (remove all staples first and TAKE YOUR TIME!) then on your car remove the shifter trim and cup holders and slip the leather over the stock e-brake and put everything back and it's done. Simple.
OEM parts = :D me.
KunalPatel87 03-27-2008, 03:14 PM OEM [Gen 7] Accord 6-speed M/T Front tower bar:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00893.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00892.jpg
I used this DIY (http://gen7accord.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2399) from Gen7Accord but I had to vary my install slightly. Note the two zip-ties (near the left and right tower...very hard to see). On the left side, I wasn't able to get the green factory wire holder off my stock "strut bar" (I broke it...I had to cut it off), so I used another zip-tie to anchor the wire to the new strut bar. The one on the right was needed to anchor my fog light wire harness to the new strut bar. I did not realize that a hole was drilled into my stock "strut bar" (by the dealer) for the harness and since I did not have my drill handy at home, I utilized an available hole on the new strut bar and zip-tied them together. Everything is solid. Nothing to worry about (I will check up on it during car washes when I wipe my engine bay down).
This part did make a difference. My steering feels more precise and the front end of my car feels a bit stiffer. Another thing I noticed was that I can dodge potholes MUCH quicker.
My (black) NEUSPEED upper strut bar will be in Tuesday. I can't wait! I will be debadging the sticker logo off it (even though it's the reason why it costs sooo much). Hopefully I get something out of it, handling/steering wise...
Thanks for looking!
KunalPatel87 04-01-2008, 02:08 PM NEUSPEED front upper tie-bar installed with my OEM 6-speed Accord front tower bar:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00904.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/KunalPatel87/DSC00903.jpg
The front-end of my coupe feels a bit more stiffer. Just a tad (very very small difference). I also sensed a small change in my steering response/precision (again very small increase in response/precision). Both upgrades were worth the money to me. I do like the added look of the NEUSPEED strut bar and debadging the "NEUSPEED" keeps it subtle to the eye. :)
The install was straight forward. I had no problems. The 4 outer nuts (2 on each side/tower) have to be removed first then you simply drop in the Neuspeed bar over the 4 outer bolts. Slight force is needed to push the bar down to the base on each side. After that, all that is left is to reinstall the removed nuts and cap the ends off.
Having both does help so if you have the money for them, definitely get them. Do at least get the OEM one first and the rsb before all tie-bars.
Thanks for looking!

Good choice.
You will retain your CD changer function with the USA SPEC iPod kit. The kit plugs into a separate aux port in the back of the factory h/u so you don't have to worry. In the US, it's the port XM radio uses, but the kit's y-cable lets you retain that function also.
Here's the iPod installation DIY (http://www.beaufordbuddy.com/ipod_install_1.htm) I used. Also, here's the USA SPEC iPod kit product manual (http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/581/581PA11H2Y.PDF).
Very easy install.

Thanks!
I currently have the TL 6MT (17mm) rear stabilizer bar installed in my car. It made a drastic difference in the cars corning. It eliminated a large amount of body roll and took away some of the understeer I was experiencing with the stock 14mm anti-sway (slight understeer = good safely net in a FWD car, but you will still get that "neutralized steering" feeling with the upgrade). The car also feels solid ("planted") in the rear compared to before. Definitely do your research before choosing your sway bar(s) but it looks like you are. If you do the TL-S rsb then for safety reasons, please also install the TL-S fsb. If your car still rides on stock tires, you will hear them howl more.
Here are some good resources I found helpful when I was making my decision:
V6P Sway Bar Thread (http://v6performance.net/forums/showthread.php?t=80747)
From this forum: The sway bar review... 14 vs 20 vs 17 with pics... (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1974&highlight=17mm+review)
Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions regarding the installation or the resulting dynamics of the rsb install.

Man, I would love to Jet Ski one day.

Thanks for the compliment. I try very hard to keep it that way.
07AccordEx-L 07-15-2008, 12:02 AM My GrillCraft Mx-series lower grille came in Friday!!

Not only does this thing look great, it will prevent damage to my radiator as I drive my car for years to come.
Did u have to make any modifications or was it a direct fit?I'm in the process of getting a mesh grille for the upper part from genkituning and I'd also like to get the bottom to match it up =)

It's a direct fit with no modifications required for installation. It "clips" onto the back of the bumper opening and all you have to do is simply fasten it down with the provided screws. I've had it for almost a year now and it's in great condition. The quality of the product is excellent and lasting. GrillCraft gets an A+ from me.
Does that upper grille replace the stock grille or is it a backing for the spaces?

07AccordEx-L 07-15-2008, 11:50 PM It's the mesh grille. It does replace the stock grille. mine is chipped that's why i'm getting it. it might go well with the grillcraft bottom grille. thanks!

Get the GrillCraft upper grille too. They look pretty good. You seen them? You'll need to do some modifying to install the eBay grilles.
FYI: OEM grilles cost $30-$35.
07AccordEx-L 07-16-2008, 12:25 PM I doubt that. the dealer told me the bottom grille itself is $70 which is sh*t for a piece of plastic. The reason i dont wanna get the grillcraft upper piece is bc I still want a frame around the grille, not jus a grille.

$40 plus shipping. I agree. A "framed" grille would look nicer.
silverbullet 07-16-2008, 08:33 PM Hey Kunal your car looks great, keep it up.
07AccordEx-L 07-16-2008, 10:32 PM no no the bottom grille is $70 for the stock one. but ya.

In person, they have a blueish color to them. It's a nice, high-end look.
Up next (not in any order):
1. 1-2 more layers of HustMat in the doors (I hear some rattle(s) outside my car due to my system).
2. OEM 2007 Acura RL engine cover (w/ Honda "H" emblem) or powder coated upper intake manifold flat black (plate w/ "HONDA" on it).
KunalPatel87 08-19-2008, 08:36 AM Maybe a set of these??

Your car looks gooooood, goooooooooood. It looks like the fourth of july and New Years all rolled into one. Like Phelps and Lightening Bolt, you win all the gold medals. I'm on this bandwagon.

Ohh, I thought the guy messed something up. I thought I saw a crack or something. You had me real paranoid! I figured it out. WOW. I drooled until I can drool no more...wait, no I am still drooling. Man oh man Kunal, your car rocks DA! :lmao: .. stop clowning.
RTexasF 08-19-2008, 09:02 AM To the detailing experts (RTexasF & MotorCity Honda), have you guys used WheelWax or Honda metal polish? They seem promising.
Sorry for the very delayed response, I just went through this whole thread for the first time. I have not used either product so can't comment. VERY well thought out and tasteful modifications, well done. The picture with Wet Paint shines better than the others
evident 08-21-2008, 10:21 AM man, your front end looks great still! i will probably be at the meet on sunday you will get to see what a front end looks like that doesn't have the 3M PPF. it's been totally sandblasted by highway driving, lol
sad part is even if i got the PPF when we talked about it i woulda still hit that deer in Jan and that would of been $700 down the drain LOL
GuidoCoupeV6 09-18-2008, 05:54 PM Car looks fantastic and now I have some references for my ride!!
I am def gonna have to talk to you about how to get the ipod adapter in (with my stock navi, have no idea where to even start) ...
Any plans for the HFP?
Def love the red v6, agree its some much nicer, glad it came stock on mine!
Fogs look great as well only confirming that i should do them too!
Also thinking about the parrot but don't talk enough in the car to actually need it...def a great mod tho!
Any other plans yet?
By the way did you car come with the michelins? How did you like them? Driving in any snow, is that why you want the bridgestones?
Great car, I'm on board...

Oh no, everything is fine. They didn't take long to cure and become clearer.
Thank you again!

Thank you! They sure do. I have to order some more WP. :D
I did try the two products, but they are not brag worthy. The products you and Jason use are amazing. I have tried many of them. The detailing thread you participate in over at Gen7A is very helpful. One day, you should start one here. :)

I recommend you go with the same iPod kit I have in my car (USA SPEC PA11–HON2y). They retail for $150, but if you shop around I know you can get a MUCH better deal. It's very easy to install (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5399&highlight=ipod+kit+success) and it still is the best solution for the 7th gen Accord. Even Honda's new V2.0 MusicLink cannot match it's functionality.
The Parrot kit is more for convenience. I do not talk endlessly on my phone while driving but it's great when I answer those occasional quick calls.
I do want some HFP parts. I've had my eye on the HFP EP-R5 Silverstar wheels and HFP suspension for quite some time now. I've been holding off on purchasing them.
My car came standard with the MXM4 tires. :thumbsdow I have about 11.5k miles on them and they are starting to "bark". They handle OK in dry conditions. I didn't feel safe driving over 25mph in the snow with these tires. They seem to have a mind of their own at times. :paranoid: The Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=15WR7RE960PPXL&fromCompare1=yes&place=11&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)&minSpeedRating=H#Survey) are great. They grip well in all conditions, are quieter and cheaper than the MXM4s. I had the opportunity to ride in an Accord Coupe with them installed and I was very impressed. They live up to their hype.
Small update:
I installed some white LEDs in my car 2 weeks ago. A pair of LEDs replaced my license plate bulbs and a LED board with 9 LEDs replaced my trunk bulb. They are EXTREMELY bright!
They look exactly like the ones below:
