i know this has been discussed below in numerous threads, but everyone seems to have a different goal in mind... i have yet another one!
i'm starting to save up for a new set of tires for my 04 coupe. the bridgestone turenza el41's on my car drive me nuts! they have horrible wet traction when starting and stopping, and even problems on some dry surfaces (i.e. if there is a manhole cover in my path, or a paint strip or anything slightly slick.) at firsdt i thought it was just me learning to drive a stick, but everyone else who has driven my car in the rain has run into the same problems.
my abs kicks in constantly when driving on wet roads, even with easy braking! so, to try to avoid a winter driving nightmare, i want to get some new tires that have much better traction. unlike most, i am willing to have a noisier ride if i can get much better traction! ;) i was thinking about a bf goodrich tire because that was what i replaced my 2000 civic's oem firestones with for the same reasons and i was happy with them. i also thought the oem dunlops on my last civic were decent. but those were both different cars with different size wheels...
i should mention that i want to get another all season tire, not a seperate winter tire or anything.
also, any ideas on how i might be able to resell my current tires that have about 3500 miles on them? i'd hate to just dispose of them when they're still perfectly fine and i'm sure would suit someone's needs well!!
thanks guys!! :D
